Words have value, they’re meaningful or impactful.

From a young age, I was always drawn to writing and storytelling. It wasn’t until I was 16 that I decided to submit my writing to youth-led magazines and it wasn’t until I was 17 that I got published, although elated I had know idea that at that moment it would change my life.

I wanted to finally make a magazine be the one to create one through my vision. My unique foresight of the rise of fantasy2k, renaissance trends in alternative spaces online was proven right amidst filming (recording*) this, but what about the depth? What about what came before and after this aesthetics we see? Is it even possible to juxtapose contrasting styles and eras and even fit? Will anyone read it? Will anyone care? I was willing to take that risk. From pattern recognition and learning art history I was able to understand a lot of the art we consume is inspired from art of the past and sometimes even revitalizing or rebelling what once was.

The world we once knew is now far gone, the landscape for media is reminiscent of a wasteland where if you search far enough you could find what was once lost: nostalgia.

The sweet soul known as Kitty Bruce has departed this life to dance pain free alongside her Mom and Dad once more.

She said many times that she wanted to be known as a survivor and put all that life threw at her back into her music, then into supporting others through addiction and recovery. We all owe her a debt of gratitude for continuing her father’s fight for free speech, keeping his spirit alive and impertinent for new generations, and most of all for her work with the Lenny Bruce Memorial Foundation. We personally will miss our soul sister’s kindness and her deep, all embracing love of music. Her memory is already a blessing.

Sending love and light to ease your way and warm the hearts of those who miss you.

Beautiful tribute created by the ever talented Miss Dollierocker, photos via Unapologetic Bruce Fangirl Miss Senti, audio ripped back from a man who did Kitty, Honey and Lenny wrong many years ago so we’re defiantlytaking it into rightful custody. Songrwriting by - as always - The Beatles.

My 2025 Highlights 🎆🎊💛🧡🤎🎇

Last year I hit some pretty large milestones in my crochet journey. I finally finished my dream of writing a crochet pattern for (❤️TWO versions of❤️) an authentic looking replica of the #pennylanecoat from Almost Famous (I know there are those that call every shearling/Afghan coat a "Penny Lane Coat", I am not one of them, the namesake on this piece is due to it being a direct style homage to the film's iconic design piece!). My amazing testers really helped me make it the best pattern it could be, and I'm very pleased that I accomplished it at long last. It is one of my bestselling patterns on Etsy!

Afterward I used that pattern to collab with my bestie @dollierocker on a fusion PLC that was inspired by The Fool Collective and the characters Sapphire and Penny Lane from Almost Famous. It turned out so beautifully and I can't wait to see what she does with it! 💙💛❤️🌟🌛

I also vended my very 🎊first festival🌟 and had my own vintage booth next to a VW bus, loved every minute of it and was quite successful! My little Alaskan town loved my stuff and it felt so rewarding. Then I created a custom spiral top for a local friend of mine @sherbear.ak that just turned out SO well, and did my 🌟first ever🌟 tapestry crochet pattern with the iconic phrase from 1970's Hollywood and Almost Famous: "It's All Happening" 🎊🌟🌛

However, after all these amazing accomplishments the year took a sudden turn, I started having back problems from an old injury which forced me to stop crocheting all together, and lost my dear Grandma and later my beloved dog to illness over the last two months. It has broke my heart to say goodbye to both of them so soon, which along with my back is why I have been not been around much lately. 💔 But I am still here, and have started physical therapy which has allowed me to finally start crocheting again. I am currently finishing another custom Penny coat for a dear friend, and I can't wait for you all to see it! Have a Happy New Year, take care of yourselves and each other, and hug your pets & grandparents a little harder if you can. ❤️❤️❤️

Well, with the 26th come and gone and Stranger Things S5 annnd the Beatles Anthology streaming…I know what you’ve all been wondering: where tf is the Three of Us podcast?! We know. We hear you. We’ve kinda been going *through* it lately with some health battles, deaths in the family, you know. The usualll. But editing is back on track and I just felt like plucking some clips here and there for some teasy pleasies while we wait 💅🏻 We had a lot of fun discussing our Halloween looks and throwing some fan theories out there for fun! ❇️POLL TIME!❇️Do you think Nomi Malone was a witch?? Our Miss Danni makes a compelling case. In the meantime we’re still cleaning up glitter and rhinestones, as if that isn’t the story of our LIVES 😂 #3ofUs #podcast #90s

The leaves aren’t quite brown yet but the sky is most certainly gray, so of course we’re California dreamin’ bout the days of yore. Of course, artifacts of this trip remain. Groupies are the magpies of rock and roll…we keep ALL of the treasures! We might talk about this particular adventure on our podcast. But just the good stuff 😌 💓💓💓

It seems that they were custom, commissioned by Pattie herself! And @dollierocker has a tutorial on her blog of how to make your own!

I am tragically un-crafty, but might have to be brave and just make my own!

The photos of Patti and Jenny were shot by @karl_ferris_photographer for honey magazine.

So psyched to be starting @3ofuspod with these cool chicks ❤️🧡💛

My adventures with these twin lassies goes way back, and we have so much to unpack its ridiculous. But most of all, as always, we adore just being together and having fun mindwalking all over the place. Since I live all the way up here in a small cabin in the woods of Alaska and the girlies in their Delaware bungalow, we have really utilized social media to the best of our ability to stay in touch. It wasn't until we all started going back in forth with voice notes in the DMs that we all said to ourselves "you know, this could all easily be a podcast!"

The name for this work in progress came from the chemistry of our friendship being the anchor, of course. The most important element in anything @thebeatlebandaids have ever done started with me, @dollierocker and @_miss.danni.bba_ , and tacking on an extra digit to the famous Beatles song, we have fittingly dubbed it Three of Us.

I'm really looking forward to recording our first episode, we are working out all the technical kinks with Miss Dollie at the helm pumping out all these amazing graphics and securing our theme music, and we are all working together brainstorming episode ideas.

This project has been a long time coming but we also all feel its the right time. Can't hardly wait 😁🌈💞📻📺
