Always a bit lost for words after a yoga retreat and this time is no exception. Under the Full Blue Moon 🌕🩵
an incredible group of women came together for yoga, surf, breath connection, rest, good food, laughter, tears and presence.

My first retreat in my hometown of Dunbar at the FABULOUS Dolphin Inn.

I'll totally honest- I had been nervous about this retreat. It was a little slow to fill up... after all, people that normally come to my retreats live in our around, well, Dunbar. So who would come to a retreat on their own doorstep??

But I kept the faith and I just *knew* it would fill up, and with just the right people. And it did.
A wonderful mixture of local people and those from further afield, a mixture of old friends and new connections, it actually couldn't have been more perfect 🥹

We are keeping everything crossed that the weather for our weekend retreat will be good enough to let us hit the beach for some beach yoga practices, there is something truly special about practicing yoga by the ocean.

Dunbar is blessed with several STUNNING beaches within a few miles radius and we will make the most of this amazing coastline during the weekend. As well as beach yoga sessions, there will be opportunity for sea dips, coastal walks (with a pal or in blissful solitude) and of course the fantastic Surf Bliss Session with @groundswellscotland will take place whatever the waves and weather and will be adapted to perfectly suit the conditions.

The surf session is optional and is open to complete beginners to surfing as well as those with some experience. The surf session costs just a little extra but is heavily subsidised due to Groundswell's charity status so is fantastic value.

We will also have @kmacktherapy treating us to a beautiful relaxing sound bath on the Saturday evening.

I just bumped into this LEGEND @joxerooni while down at the beach filming a few clips of beach yoga, actually to post out to advertise our upcoming retreat in May!

Each doing what we love and are passionate about sharing - Sally with her surfing and myself with yoga.

Sally and I have been friends for many years and have been a huge support to each other as we navigate running our respective businesses/organisations in our own unique but totally aligned, heart-centred way.

@groundswellscotland is a registered charity that uses surfing as the medium to support women to find strength, community, support and joy.

If the waves are quiet, we’ll dive into ocean safety, rescue know-how, and confidence building.

All equipment is provided, as well as a warm drink after the session. Come with an open heart & a sense of adventure — let’s ride, laugh, learn and lift each other up!"
