Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes 2014 🇫🇷

Straw color. Aromas of lemon, white flowers and orange blossom. Fresh on the palate with nice acidity and notes of orchard fruit. Clean and balanced with a long finish.

This is a great Saint-Aubin PC from @domainelamy . At a nice place right now, and there's no need for further cellaring. #SaintAubin #LesFrionnes #Bourgogne #France #chardonnay

Chassagne-Montrachet or Puligny-Montrachet… the eternal Chardonnay dilemma 🤍

Same village energy, totally different personalities:
✨ Chassagne-Montrachet (Caroline Morey, Les Champs Gains) — a little richer, more textured, think ripe orchard fruit with a subtle creamy edge
✨ Puligny-Montrachet (Hubert Lamy, Les Tremblots) — more precision and lift, citrusy, mineral-driven, almost electric

When in doubt? Get both! Which side are you on — Chassagne or Puligny? 👇

Alphonse Wines – Hubert Lamy 2023

Our collaboration with Hubert Lamy has been strong for many years, giving us consistent access to some
of the most precise and mineral‑driven wines of Saint‑Aubin, Puligny and Chassagne.

The new 2023 releases continue this line of quality and clarity.

La Princée – pure, vibrant Chardonnay.
Les Frionnes 1er Cru – cool, linear, mineral.
Clos de la Chatinière 1er Cru – steep‑slope depth and tension.
Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru – high‑altitude precision.
Puligny “Les Tremblots” – old‑vine finesse.
Chassagne “Le Concis du Champ” – structured, mineral, elegant.

La Goujonne Rouge – floral, fine‑tannined Pinot Noir.
Santenay “Clos Les Hâtes” Rouge – fresh, balanced and juicy.

Special Allocations Prices for Club members, small quantities available.

After several “freestyle, best bottle” sessions in a row, this time we went full structure: the one and only @_christophbrunner_ curated different Chardonnay flights for us — mostly from Burgundy 🙏

Here are my personal highlights:

2018 "Adrianna Vineyard White Bones” by @catenazapata
Nose: ethereal, rosemary, herbal tea, pine needles.
Palate: a fascinating mix of fruit and chilled herbal tea, highly perfumed. Not an easily understandable wine — but if you lean into it, it becomes a real experience. Chalky, almost weightless, yet intense. Literally: White Bones minerality 🦴

2010 "Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru" by Dominique Laurent
Nose: toasted sesame & sesame leaf.
Palate: completely dissolves on the palate. A sense of dramaturgy like no other wine that night — a true wow moment. Fine, layered, with a wave-like evolution. Notes of dill, miso, sherry, almost Jura-like oxidative hints 🙌

2000 "Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru" by @bonneaudumartray
Nose: subtle, stone fruit, marzipan, citrus.
Palate: Bürklin-Wolf effect — very quiet, yet packed with complexity. Hard to believe this is a 26-year-old white wine. More beurre blanc than beurre brun. It sings and dances rather than pushes. Elegant, not forceful. Savoury Parmesan umami notes in an endless finish ⭐️

Two remarks 💡
1️⃣ For my personal taste, I have to admit: I slightly missed that more baroque, opulent Chardonnay style — the kind that hits you straight in the face 🤭
2️⃣ Top-notch German Chardonnay — in my opinion — doesn’t have to fear international competition (especially considering the price point) 👍

WE AINT HERE FOR JOKES 🍷 IF BURGUNDY, THAN WE DO IT LIKE THIS ♥️

No half things @kateandkon
they called & said burgundy please so we brought it to them 🤞🏻 two families, working together since generations, performing for the guests of the Wachau Gourmet Festival 2026

@landhaus_bacher we showcased what Burgundy is all about. The Côte d’Or south to north. If we do it, we do it properly! Only the very top notch producers and their beauties 🖤

Thank you to the Dorfers and their team! Thank you to our partners in Burgundy! ♥️🍇
