Happy 8 year wedding anniversary @weltmanalex. In these last 8 years we have loved 3 times, bought 2 homes, changed careers, added 2 more pups to our tribe and made the best person who is truly the best parts of the both of us. I love the life we have created together. I am so excited for all the years to come. I promise to love you until the end of time, to the moon and forever to the stars! I love you Chicken, Happy Anniversary my love 😍 ❤️🥂 Photography: @domvisions

Behind so many of the stories I’ve had the privilege to write is someone whose work often speaks before mine ever does.

A huge thank you to photojournalist @domvisions - this man has provided so many incredible images that have helped bring my stories to life. Your eye for detail, ability to capture genuine moments, and dedication to the craft have made a real impact on my reporting. #KansasCity #Photojournalism #kansascitystar #blackphotography #blackcreators

Things have gotten EXPENSIVE and the pressure of purchasing school supplies can be a heavy burden for some families.

Help us lighten the load this school season by donating to our Back 2 Skool Supply Drive ✏️

Running now through August 2nd, we’re collecting supplies to pass out to kids for free at our August 2nd Soul Sundays market. Kids will have the opportunity to decorate their items at various free craft stations, guided by local artists.

If you’re a family who’s fortunate enough to afford supplies for your kids, you can bring your own items from home to decorate.

Any supplies not passed out August 2nd and all donations brought to the market will be donated to KCPS Title 1 Schools.

Drop Off Locations:

What a beautiful experience! Grateful for it all!

Nunca en mi vida pensé que iba estar en un mundial tomando fotos! Pero, desde bien joven tal vez en la high school, le decía a mi mamá que un día iba estar allí en la cancha, y mira mami, lo logré! Qué calidad! Sometimes speaking about your goals (haha … goals) into existence might end up working in your favor.

For every game I photographed, I found myself thinking about my brother, who LOVES fútbol, my former photo editor, who always believed in me and valued my work, and my former colleagues, who would have absolutely loved the opportunity to cover an event of this magnitude. Although they weren’t there in person, they were never far from my thoughts, and in many ways, it felt like they were sharing the experience with me.

Anyways, SOLID 10/10! Hope to do it again sometime. ☺️📸♥️

#ThisIsHowIthinkTANK - The @thinktankphoto “Airport Security V3.0” is the newest thinkTANK bag to keep my gear safe and it is handling all of the @fifaworldcup is throwing at it!!! We have to walk to the media tent then walk into the stadium then back to media tent or straight out back to the car but the Airport Security V3.0 handles the weight so well and with the high quality wheel pulling this bag far distances is a breeze!!!! You can view more @fifaworldcup photos here or at www.THEPITCHKC.com !!!!! @canonusa @fifa @fwc26kansascity @ballpointmadeit #worldcup2026 #thinktankphoto #ThinkTankKeepsMyGearSafe
