A trip to Michigan over Memorial Day weekend. I learned more about coffee roasting and coffee sourcing from @darkwatercoffeeroasters and @aldeacoffee ☕️

I have loved building @doorwalkerco and being involved in the coffee industry. This trip I also learned more about tea (keep following for future developments) 🫖

I also got to tour @msu.extension agriculture facilities and fields, harvest some of their asparagus, and explored Michigan sand dunes and coast line!

Such an amazing trip. I learned so much and am excited to keep growing and improving my own business. Thank you so much for your support and keeping up with my adventures!

The terrain we cross between Doors is not meant to break us down. It shows us who we are. It’s where we build self-belief.

Spending my morning drinking @doorwalkerco , studying my Airplane Flying Handbook, and working on program material with @irenes_ecologist for an upcoming event in New York.

There were many day I woke up and didn’t believe in myself, but I’m grateful I kept going and practicing so that I could develop self-belief to be a part of who I am.

At 22 I made a promise to never stop pursuing me. Today I turn 29. This last year has been incredibly challenging as I left behind corporate safety and stability to make my mark on the world.

I believe that we have to be the change we want to see in the world. I am more motivated than ever before to facilitate conversations and experiences for others to do the same. 💜

I followed the 🐇 down the hole and got stuck.

It started with a coffee bag and turned into me wondering why very different things seem to settle into similar patterns when you start paying attention. I went from looking at the design on the bag to thinking about swings, trees in the wind, and why certain motions keep repeating even when the situations are different.

I kept pulling on that thought until I reached a point where the question was clearer, even though the answer wasn’t. This is just a snapshot of that process.

Side note: coffee was necessary and is the best!

It’s nuts how the smallest inputs become the biggest inflection points. A routine, a person, a cup of coffee, a recalibration in how you perceive yourself. The drift feels so random until one day it just doesn’t.

This project started as a simple simulation for understanding cognitive efficiency under changing conditions and somehow became this inner reflection of my own world. Adaptive systems are so far from being only academic because they live in you, me, and everyone around us.

Huge gratitude to the mentors who remind me that discipline can be soft, curiosity can be wild, and entropy isn’t the enemy. @doorwalkerco and @irenes.entropy @irenes.adaptive.navigation 🧭 @marc.brackett , you know your influence in this. Here’s to learning states that shift, recover, break, repair, and move forward.

My job is simple.
I study the moments people don’t realize they’re communicating.

A person reveals their entire internal world in milliseconds through a change in predictive load, a slight shift in autonomic tone, a micro-correction in motor output, and/or a brief stall in cognitive throughput. These elements make the build of the mind visibly obvious long before any spoken explanation. When you learn to read them, you begin to see the system working underneath the behavior and become aware it’s the part that guides every choice before the person becomes aware of it themselves.

Had so much fun hosting a Friendsgiving style singer songwriter night at @themusicboxrockford last night. Complete with music, laughter, tears, trivia, and @doorwalkerco giveaways, it was a night to remember.

NYC 🗽 is a place I am quickly becoming attached to. Humanity feels a bit different here, you feel like you’re a part of something bigger than yourself and also nothing all at once.

Grateful for the perspective I gained on this trip and the opportunities I had to perform in SoHo and at Pace University. Travel is a great educator, and the more people I meet the more certain I am that I’m on the right path 💜
