🥃 WHISKEY RECON | NEW MISSION 🚨 MAIL CALL – EXECUTIONER’S CUT 💀 Today’s recon comes courtesy of Chef Joey at Old Cypress Whiskey @oldcypresswhiskeyco , and this one is KILLER! 🔥 🥃 OLD CYPRESS OAK’D SELECT – EXECUTIONER’S CUT 📋 MISSION INTEL ▪️ 8 Years Aged ▪️ 120.25 Proof ▪️ Mash Bill: 51% Corn | 45% Rye | 4% Malted Barley 💀 PRESENTATION: Blood-slash artwork and glow-in-the-dark green wax make this bottle a serious eye-catcher! 🔎 TASTING RECON 👁️ APPEARANCE: Deep, dark copper. Looks more like a 12–15-year whiskey! 👃 NOSE: Rich caramel with hints of strawberry as it opens up. 🥃 PALATE: Brown sugar and creamy caramel, almost like flan! Strawberry, dark cherry, subtle oak, and baking spice. Surprisingly oily mouthfeel despite hints of dryness. 🔥 FINISH: Long and complex! White and black pepper, baking spice, and deep caramel. Just when you expect a dry finish, a slight oily coating keeps those flavors lingering. 🎯 MISSION VERDICT: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This 8-year whiskey punches well above its age! Excellent complexity, rich flavors, and a finish that delivers. Worth every penny in my book! 👏 Big thanks to Chef Joey and Old Cypress! 🔗 Check out their craftsmanship at oldcypresswhiskey.com and give them a follow! 🇺🇸 MISSION COMPLETE. WHISKEY RECON OUT! 🥃 #whiskeyrecon #oldcypresswhiskeyco #whiskeyreview #bourboncommunity #bourbon

LINK IN THE BIO full episode on YouTube or Spotify 🎙️🥃 WICKED WHISKEY PODCAST | EPISODE 11: AFTER PARTY “It’s More Than What’s in the Glass” 💙 This episode hits a little differently. In Episode 11, Matt welcomes his sister, Valerie, to join him and John “Pop Pop” Mondoux for what might be one of our most emotional and meaningful episodes yet. We sit down to reflect on our Pour It Forward ALS fundraiser for Jonathan, the incredible support from the bourbon community, and what it truly means when we say, “It’s more than what’s in the glass.” For Valerie, this episode is an opportunity to see a side of the bourbon community she never knew existed. A community of people who started as strangers, became friends, and came together to support a family going through something unimaginable. Valerie opens up about her journey as a full-time caregiver, the daily struggles, the emotional toll, and the strength it takes to care for someone you love while watching ALS change their life. We also share Jonathan's story, his battle with ALS, and how this devastating disease has affected not only him but everyone who loves him. There are laughs, tears, difficult conversations, and moments that remind us why we started Wicked Whiskey Society in the first place. Of course, we still talk bourbon. 🥃 But this time, what's in the glass takes a back seat to the people sitting around it. This isn't just another whiskey podcast. This is family, friendship, love, heartbreak, and a community coming together when it matters most. Grab a pour, pull up a chair, and join us for one of the most personal, emotional, and tear-jerking episodes we've ever recorded. 💙 It's More Than What's in the Glass. #WickedWhiskeySociety #WickedWhiskeyPodcast #CarrionStrong #PourItForward #ALSAwareness ALS BourbonCommunity MoreThanWhatsInTheGlass WhiskeyFamily PodcastEpisode11

Ever wonder what it's like behind the scenes when we try to film a whiskey review or blind tasting? 😂🥃 Well, here's a pretty good example of how that usually goes. We had Logger from Smoke Eaters Cigar & Whiskey Club and Sean from Dopamine Chasing Bourbon come hang out for the weekend, and we figured we'd knock out a few reviews and blinds. Keyword: TRIED. 🤣 Between the jokes, the ball busting, and nobody being able to keep a straight face, we somehow turned a whiskey review into an episode of The Three Stooges. So here's a little Bloopers/Blind action from behind the scenes. No scripts, no filters, just three idiots having a good time and occasionally remembering we're supposed to be reviewing whiskey. 😂 Sometimes the best part isn't even the whiskey. It's the people you're sharing it with. Thank-you @zcrocker8 for the sample we did our best to make it a serious video haha well not out best It's more than what's in the glass. 🥃🤘 #WickedWhiskeySociety #SmokeEaters #DopamineChasingBourbon #ThreeStooges #WhiskeyBloopers BlindTasting BourbonCommunity MoreThanWhatsInTheGlass

🥎❤️ END OF THE ROAD FOR A.K. 47… BUT WHAT A HELL OF A RUN! 🏆 Well, Bourbon Fam… we gave it everything we had. Our girl Addie made it all the way to the SEMIFINALS of Youth Athlete of the Year before coming up short. And while we would’ve loved to see her go all the way, we’re damn proud of her! 💪❤️ To EVERYONE who voted, shared, donated, rallied their friends, and supported our girl along the way… THANK YOU! Seriously. Y’all showed up in a BIG way, and our family appreciates every bit of it. 🥹🤝 🥃 NOW FOR THE BOURBON BUSINESS! We made it through TIER 2 of the bourbon giveaway, which means we’ve got some bottles to give away! 🎉🔥 🎟️ I need a little time to tally up all the entries and make sure everything is accounted for. 🏆 We’ll be doing a couple of drawings soon, and I’ll reach out directly to the winners! No more voting. No more campaigning. Just a whole lot of gratitude and some bourbon headed to a few lucky supporters. 🥃 The bottles are cool. But the way this community showed up for my daughter? 🥃 WHISKEY RECON | MISSION: OAKLORE DISTILLING CO. 🥃 📍 Oaklore Distilling Co. 11136 Monroe Rd | Matthews, NC Another recon mission in the books! 🎯 This time, Whiskey Recon made a stop at Oaklore Distilling Co. in Matthews, North Carolina, with one particular target in mind, their newly released Bloody Butcher Corn Wheated Bourbon! 🌽🥃 If you’re not familiar with Bloody Butcher corn, it’s an heirloom variety known for its distinctive deep-red kernels and Appalachian roots. The name reportedly comes from the red corn staining millers’ aprons, making them look like a butcher’s apron. Pretty cool history behind a bourbon! 🥃 BLOODY BUTCHER CORN BOURBON 🌽 Grain spotlight: Heirloom Bloody Butcher corn 🔥 Proof: 94.8 (47.4% ABV) 🥃 Style: Straight Bourbon Whiskey 🏡 Distillery: Oaklore Distilling Co., Matthews, NC But there’s another reason Oaklore is on my radar! A couple of months ago, our Boone Bourbon Society had the opportunity to complete a single-barrel pick with Oaklore, and that selection is now available at the Boone ABC store! 🥃 There’s something special about seeing a local North Carolina distillery doing its thing, creating unique expressions, and bringing whiskey enthusiasts together through experiences like private barrel selections. If you’re in the Matthews area, Oaklore is definitely worth putting on your whiskey recon radar! 🎥 Stay tuned for more whiskey adventures, bottle acquisitions, and reviews from Whiskey Recon! Drink responsibly. Must be 21+ to enjoy. #whiskeyrecon #oakloredistillingco #bloodybutchercorn #boonebourbonsociety #ncbourbon

🎮🥃 APPARENTLY I’M PLAYING TWO GAMES OF POKÉMON NOW. GOTTA CATCH ’EM ALL! Let’s be real. Bourbon hunting is basically adult Pokémon. 😂 🥃 Find the rare ones. 💸 Spend entirely too much money chasing them. 🏆 Convince yourself you need just ONE more. GOTTA CATCH ’EM ALL! But apparently I’ve unlocked a whole new side quest… CHALLENGE COINS! 🪙🔥 And my boy Matt from @twofoolsonebourbon was the FIRST to go all in backing this crazy idea. What started as a little Friends in Bourbon Places project has blown up in its own way. Matt sent some awesome goodies, but the real treasures were his Air Force MAINEiacs challenge coins. 🇺🇸🫡 Now I’m out here trying to collect coins from every damn GYM LEADER I meet. 😂 Military units, bourbon clubs, careers, organizations, communities… everybody’s got a story, and I want those stories represented at the Bourbon Sanctuary. 🪙 GOT A CHALLENGE COIN? LET’S SWAP! Because unlike bourbon, the best part of this collection isn’t what’s sitting on the shelf. It’s the friendships behind every piece. Amici Fideles. Trusted Friends. 🤝 💾 Save this for your next coin swap ❤️ Like if you’re collecting adult Pokémon too 👀 Follow for more bourbon hunts, challenge coins & side quests #friendsinbourbonplaces #challengecoin #bourbon #whiskey #amicifideles

🎯 BOTTLE ACQUISITION: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED Indian Trail ABC posted that it had two bottles of Little Book The Infinite Edition III. The mission: get there before they were gone. One made it back to Whiskey Recon. 🫡🥃 Freddie Noe’s 2026 blend carries forward a portion of Edition II and adds bourbons aged 9, 11, and 23 years. It comes in at 118.3 proof. The exact mash bill percentages and proportions of the new components haven’t been disclosed, so I’ll leave those off the intel sheet for now. The published tasting notes point to tobacco, caramel, and butterscotch on the nose; vanilla and light barrel char on the palate; and a long, warm finish with dark fruit. My own tasting notes and Whiskey Recon rating are coming soon. For adults 21+. Personal collection and review; no alcohol for sale. #whiskeyrecon #littlebook #bookers #BourbonReview #whiskeycommunity

🥃 IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! 🎂 What an incredible fucking year it’s been. I’ve only been a part of this whiskey community for about a year and a half, and somehow it has turned into one of the best experiences of my life. I’ve met some incredible people, made real friendships, and crossed paths with some genuinely amazing souls. Who the hell knew this brown liquid gold would bring so many good people together? 😂🥃 But especially this year, you guys have shown me what this community is really about. The support you’ve shown Wicked Whiskey Society, the friendships, the laughs, and especially all of the donations and support for our ALS event for Jon and my sister... I honestly struggle to find the words to explain what that means to me and my family. So on my birthday, I really just want to say THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate every single person who has supported us, donated, shared our stuff, reached out, poured with us, or simply been along for the ride. Love you all. 🥃❤️ Cheers to another trip around the sun and whatever the hell comes next. It’s more than what’s in the glass. 🥃 #WickedWhiskeySociety #ItsMoreThanWhatsInTheGlass #WhiskeyCommunity #BourbonCommunity #PourItForward BirthdayPour Cheers
