✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS✨

Next up we have @gage_mika and @dorianfosterreimer

Gage:
His favorite track memory is “for Narnia” during my freshman year.”

Advice he would like to give is “to become obsessed. Find the thing that drives you to get up in the morning and fall asleep to dreaming about.”

What motivates him is “the thought of what I’ll be able to tell my grandchildren one day. I’ll be able to tell them stories of both failures and successes.”

His favorite meet day song is “Starman” by David Bowie

His plans after high school include attending UW-La Crosse and pursuing a double major in Business and Exercise Science.

The people who impacted his track career mossy are “both of my coaches, Nick Nemec and Blake Bretting have been monumental in my track and field career. Their dedication and passion for their athletes and the sport is unmatched and I can only hope to one day become as positive for the community as they are.”

Dorian:
Her favorite track memory was “practicing passing a baton but with a pole vault with the other girl throwers before our throwers relay!”

Advice she would like to give to anyone joining track and people continuing their sport career is “that while it is important to do the best you can, you’re going to have bad days and you’re not alway going to be the best but that doesn’t matter. As long as you care to do well.”

What motivates her before she throws is “the idea of hot dogs afterwards always motivates me.”

Her favorite meet day song is mangetout by Wet Leg.

Her plans after highschool are to attend Viterbo University for musical theatre and politics and continuing throwing at said university.

The person who has impacted her track career the most is “my throwing coach Aaron Curtis. He has truly been there for me through my rough days and my best days and has made me but just a better thrower or athlete but also a better student and person.”

Wishing you both the best of luck in both of your next steps of life!!!
