Nelson Mandela once said, “You never truly know a nation until you have been inside its jail. Don’t judge a nation based on how it treats its highest citizens, judge a nation based on how it treats its lowest citizens.” We must humanize people who have been justice impacted in America. They are our loved ones. Our brothers, fathers, husbands, sisters, mothers, and wives. They are us.

We are extremely grateful to be afforded this opportunity to partner with Florida State Representative @dotiejoseph on prison reentry reform. There are many bills Representative Joseph is working on to positively impact our communities. She is currently working on cash bail reform bill. She has also worked to end the “punishment clause” of the 13th Amendment. Many of us know it as “end the exception.” We need to end slavery in the United States of America once and for all. This is our first stop of our 2024 reentry tour across the country. If you would like to support this work please go to the link in my bio or message me. We can’t do this alone. We must eliminate the barriers our loved ones face within our criminal justice system. Voter disenfranchisement for felons is real. Barriers to housing are real. Barriers to employment are real. I will continue to use my platform to educate people on the ways we can effect change. It will take bipartisan support so we must be willing to work with those people in which we don’t agree. This is a public health crisis and humanity issue. Thank you for being here and supporting my platform. I love my family here.

Hard to believe that on this Tuesday, 2 months ago, YAC took over the state Capitol in Tallahassee. Breakfast with legislators, tours of FSU and FAMU, youth-led townhalls, hotel room karaoke and pranks. #tctyac

Today we’re Hosting the students from “HARRIS STOWE STATE UNIVERSITY” @harrisstowe @harrisstowestate

I got a call from #SpringBreakInHaiti organization. The Students at #HarrisStoweStateUniversity were scheduled to visit Beautiful Ayiti this week. The CDC advisory warned them not to travel to Ayiti so their ADMIN called me to arrange a tour of #LittleHaiti #TiAyiti to assist in the rest of their Cultural Journey. In 2 days @LittleHaitiFieldTrips called all the necessary elements and made it happen for them.

My heart is forever full! Thank you @jasmenrogersshaw for your extraordinary leadership and for encouraging me to ride along to the 3rd Annual Black Girls Day at the Capitol. Marching, lobbying, organizing, educating, healing, and even brunching, we did it all on this trip. To close out this black history month surrounded by the undeniable power and unmatched strength of black women was truly an indescribable experience and I can’t wait for next year!
