Legendary Billy Joel drummer Liberty DeVitto’s birthday celebration comes to Staten Island. Join us for dinner and happy hour at Dough by Licastri Silver Lakes, 977 Victory Blvd. Staten Island, NY.
Music fans are invited to a special evening celebrating the birthday of legendary drummer Liberty DeVitto on Thursday, August 6th. 7-10pm.
Hosted by acclaimed drummer, author, music journalist and “Billy’s Bubble” podcast host Billy Amendola, and iHearts Q104.3’s Classic Rock Radio legend DJ Maria Milito, this event offers guests the chance to meet one of rock’s most famous drummers.
Attendees will hear behind-the-scenes stories from DeVitto’s decades-long career with Billy Joel, and participate in a live question and answer session, and celebrate his birthday in an intimate setting.

Limited Signed copies of Liberty DeVito’s book “Liberty; Life, Billy and the Pursuit of Happiness,” will be available for purchase, giving attendees a chance to take home a personally autographed keepsake. Seating is limited, and advance reservations are strongly recommended. Music provided by DJ Mike Gentile.

Liberty DeVitto, born August 8, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, is an American rock drummer renowned for his 30-year tenure with Billy Joel’s band, contributing to 13 platinum albums and 22 top-40 hits. He has also recorded and or toured with Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, Karen Carpenter and is the father of TV actress Torrey DeVitto.

In 2020, his memoir, ‘Liberty: Life, Billy and the Pursuit of Happiness,’ detailing his musical journey and personal experiences was released by Hudson Music, with a forward by Billy Joel.

Currently, Liberty records and performs with his band The Slim Kings and tours with his fellow Billy Joel bandmates The Lords of 52nd Street.

Chrissy and I had the BEST time at @doughsilverlake! 🍕✨

I had heard great things about the food, so I wasn’t surprised that everything we ordered was incredible—but what really exceeded our expectations were the cocktails and the service.
Huge shoutout to @mluna0304, who is an absolute master mixologist. Every drink was not only delicious but crafted with so much care and attention to detail. The presentation? Beautiful. 🤌🏻🍸
