Not a day goes bye where I dont find myself thinking about New Zealand 🍃

Hey everyone 🤙🏽 turned 29 today which means Im one step closer to the big ol 30!

Thankful to have made it another year around the sun! This past year has been filled with the most growth Ive experienced thus far in life. Growth with my mental health. Growth with photography. Growth as an individual.

I'm beyond thankful for everyone in my life that has helped me grow and helped support me and my passions regardless of how far fetched they may seem.

I dont share much about myself on social media because I prefer to have some things in my life for myself. With that being said, here's a few facts about me that you all might not know :)

-Im 6'7" so Im a giraffe 🦒
-I first picked up a camera 11 years ago and have been working freelance for about 3 years now (not full time but Im getting there 🤙🏽)
-I grew up outside Detroit, MI and am a die hard Lions fan
-I studied kinesiology in college and worked as an assistant strength coach for a year
-Im completely obsessed with glacial landscapes, specifically the North Cascades (I feel like this is an obvious one 😅)
-I have 3 siblings and sadly I dont see them as often as Id like (nothing but love though!)
-my favorite animal is a humpback whale and I have one tattooed on my ribs 🐋
-One Piece is my favorite manga so shout out to all my nerds out there 😎

Cheers to another year and hoping to make this one the biggest one yet! Ive got some big goals and some big projects Id like to create in the mountains so cheers! 🥶

Also, the cover shot was captured by my good friend, my North Cascades brother, the legend @scott_kranz 🤙🏽 if you arent following his work yet, be sure to give him a follow!

Happy Thanksgiving from North Cascades Haven!🍁

We are beyond grateful to own and care for this beautiful cabin and for all of you who choose to follow and share our love for it!

Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine 80k of you seeing our IG and mutually sharing our love for the North Cascades. It genuinely fills our hearts to not only provide a physical place where others can stay and explore the North Cascades National Park but also share it virtually with you every day. We hope that one day every single one of you can visit and see the most beautiful land in the world!🌲🏔️

When you stay at The Haven you might just meet a family of otters🦦🦦🦦

@downtofowler was lucky to capture these otters enjoying themselves on the riverbank right off the deck!🥰

Give me a trail brewksi and some epic views over a crowded bar any day 🍻🏔️

I often get comments saying “but this is so expensive,” or something similar, and yet MOST of my 1-2 day trips cost me less than the average night out at the bar, by a good margin. It really comes down to what experiences you choose to prioritize. Where would you rather be?
