Getting customers downtown is only half the job.

Once they’re there, the basics matter. A clean washroom. Somewhere to sit. Signs that make sense.

Calgary’s business conversation needs room for the small things that make a visit easier.

What’s one thing you’d fix on the block around your business?

A little rain only made the rainbows shine brighter. 🌈

A pretty special way to spend last Sunday — proud to walk in the @calgarypride Parade alongside my colleagues at @prospect_human_services celebrating "love is love" and a Calgary where all are welcome.

I was joined by thousands of community members, partners, and allies lining the streets in support, celebration, and solidarity. It was incredibly moving. Walking alongside so many people committed to equity, belonging, and inclusion was a powerful reminder that strong communities are built when everyone feels seen, valued, and connected.

Pride is so much more than a parade. Inclusion is about more than representation — it's about creating spaces where people feel truly seen, valued, and connected.

One moment will stay with me for a long time. Along the route, volunteers were giving out "free mom hugs" and "free brother hugs." I was walking with a young person in their twenties accept hugs, eyes welling up, and share that their own family had disowned them. They said walking today — being hugged, being welcomed — felt freeing. For someone who has lost that connection with family, religion, or community, a simple hug from a stranger can mean everything.

That's the heart of Pride. It's a celebration, and it's also an ongoing call to action. There is HOPE — a powerful reminder of what's possible when a community chooses inclusion, love, and acceptance.

Grateful to stand with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, and grateful to be part of building a Calgary where everyone can participate fully, safely, and with dignity. 🏳️‍🌈⚧️

People kept asking Monique Barrie, @mbarriem what they could do to help. She never once said write a cheque.

Her answer is your two hands. Money or no money. Find a charity that already fits your life, then show up to it in person. She points people to the Calgary Foundation’s directory to start.

It’s how she’s operated for close to seven years with @nimcally @imalbertabound, Women in Need Society @winsyyc and @closertohomeyyc.

Her friends have worked out that seeing her socially means seeing her at a charity event.

💻 If you haven’t yet, make sure to check out @mbarriem’s cover story is in the May 2026 issue of @businessincalgarymagazine 📖

✨✨JUST SOLD IN THE BELTLINE✨✨

A huge congratulations to our first-time buyer client on securing their very first home in the heart of Calgary’s Beltline! 🏡🎉

Purchasing your first property is an exciting milestone, and we could not be happier to help our client take this important step into homeownership and begin building equity for their future.

Perched high above the city on the 11th floor, this bright one-bedroom condo offers incredible west-facing views, a spacious private balcony, in-suite laundry, heated underground parking, and the added convenience of condo fees that include all utilities.

With 17th Avenue, local restaurants, cafés, shopping, nightlife, transit, and the Sunalta CTrain Station all nearby, this was an excellent opportunity to secure an affordable home in one of Calgary’s most vibrant inner-city communities.

From identifying the right opportunity and negotiating favourable terms to reviewing the condominium documents and completing due diligence, we were proud to guide our client confidently through every stage of their first purchase.

Thinking about purchasing your first home? Send us a DM and let’s create a strategy that helps you enter the market with confidence. 👊

🎶 A small act of hope that speaks volumes. ❤️

Calgary Police have shared that Parker loves Disney music. Officers are now driving through the search area playing Disney songs from their patrol vehicles, hoping he’ll hear something familiar and come out if he’s nearby.

❤️ A heartfelt thank you to every Calgary Police officer, Search and Rescue volunteer, first responder, and community member who has dedicated their time and energy to finding Parker. Your compassion and commitment have inspired an entire city.

If you’re in the search area, consider rolling down your windows and playing some Disney music. It may seem like a small gesture, but sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference.

Let’s keep searching. Let’s keep sharing. Let’s bring Parker home safely. ❤️
