What a whirlwind the last two weeks have been. I got to play with @tedeschitrucksband and @treyanastasio at @ericclapton’s @crossroadsguitarfestival. I inducted my friend Paul Reed Smith of @prsguitars into @guitarcenter’s RockWalk. I celebrated @therealbuddyguy’s 90th birthday with my extended musical family at @radiocitymusichall. I announced @spherevegas shows. I played a special one-off solo show in my home state of CT at @mohegansun. I jammed with Dave Grohl for his @hopethemission charity event at @chaplinrecording. And in one of the more thrilling opportunities I’ve ever been given, I backed up the legendary @officialannielennox along with my dear sweet friend Wendy Melvoin @wigmusic on “Sweet Dreams,” which I think is apropos given the wild ride I’ve just been on. I’m a lucky dude. More fun soon…

What an absolute unforgettable night 2 at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival 2026 from Austin's Moody Center. Over 12 hours total of incredible music, collabs, laughs and tears during the 2-day fest.

Day 2 featured a couple of Austin's own icons- Gary Clark Jr., Charlie Sexton. The lineup included: Eric Clapton, Sonny Landreth, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Tommy Emmanuel, CGP, Julian Lage, Del McCoury Band, Sierra Hull, Jerry Douglas, Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo’, Robert Randolph, Eric Gales, Jimmie Vaughan, Marcus King, Joe Bonamassa, Doyle Bramhall II, Charlie Sexton, Elle Bramhall, Susannah Melvoin, Trey Anastasio, John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Alam Khan, and John McLaughlin.

The way the fest curated the collaborations was really special- icon Taj Mahal with Keb Mo was unforgettable, Trey Anastasio with John Mayer was epic, and had a standing ovation, but Clapton himself headlined last night and played “Cocaine,” “Tears in Heaven,” the acoustic version of “Layla” & tons more and the crowd was in awe of this legend.
The finale that included all the night's performers was something you won't see again for a while. We hope it's not a long wait for the next Crossroads fest. You can still donate to the great cause of Crossroads Centre https://crossroadsantigua.org/ .

There are no words to describe the feeling of walking through the doors of Antone's, the legendary Home of the Blues in Texas. 😍 But what we experienced inside was from another planet.

Watching living legends like Doyle Bramhall II, Charlie Sexton, and the incomparable Susan Tedeschi share the stage was an absolute privilege. Pure talent, improvisation, and soul that can only happen in a place with this much history.⚡️🎙️
