Starting RAW Honey Wellness in 2018 as a business came after one of the darkest years of my life. After seeing how barriers to wellness impacts the quality and success of our lives, I was moved to start this platform.

I’ve been privileged to support people in several cities and states, and to show so many individuals and communities that we all deserve to be well. We all have a greater life waiting for us through just a small step per day.

This decision has been in the makings for a couple of years, but it is still hard to announce. RAW Honey Wellness will no longer be in business, but instead will transition to a nonprofit ministry and community service platform to address holistic health in communities who would not consistently have the access they deserve. This has ALWAYS been my heart work, and I have finally been obedient in doing the work to finalize this transition.

I am very grateful for everyone who has supported RAW Honey in all of its phases, and for being an amazing part of the movement towards being in wellness as a community and culture. I also thank RAW Honey for teaching me every business lesson possible (🤣) and developing me into the wellness professional that I am today.

This is definitely not a goodbye. This is a greater repositioning and a greater opportunity to truly serve as I’ve always desired. 🍯

Stay tuned for the new business venture announcement. 👀 and stay connected for more community events from RAW Honey Wellness. 🍯

What if being afraid to start small is actually keeping you from reaching the people God called you to?

It’s so easy to compare our beginning to someone else’s middle and feel intimidated because we’ve never done this before. We want to know exactly what we’re doing, we want it to look big, and we want to get it right.

But God gave YOU an assignment.

It doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s, and it doesn’t have to be big for it to matter. You’re a vessel, and there are people who may need what God put inside of you.

Don’t let the fear of starting small or not mastering it right away keep you from starting at all.

This is one of the many things Dr. Bee and I talked about in such a vulnerable conversation about confidence and what it looks like to actually walk in it.

The thing about having confidence in God is that you have to completely trust and know that His plans, His timing, and His way will always be good even when it doesn’t look like what we had in mind.

God has a funny way of teaching us lessons sometimes. We don’t always understand how things will play out, but somehow, He always shows us that His way was better than we could’ve imagined.

Logically, it’s easy to say we trust Him. But sometimes it takes us a minute to catch up to what we already know.

I loved diving into the depths of confidence with @dr.aprilbee ! We talked about everything from childhood, finding confidence in the workplace, receiving love, and how we can believe we are enough even when we don’t see it in ourselves.

I used to think confidence meant having everything together and being able to handle everything on my own.
But God had to show me through some hard seasons that I was never meant to do this thing alone.

Some of the people God placed in my life were simply waiting for me to let them love me, support me, encourage me, and be there for me. And honestly, I didn’t realize how much I was blocking my own healing because I thought I had to be strong enough to sustain myself.

But real confidence came when I realized I had people in my corner.

I could be confident in who I am and where I’m going because I knew I wasn’t going there alone.

Sometimes confidence is knowing you have people who will hold you up when you can’t hold yourself up.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with @dr.aprilbee for a vulnerable conversation about confidence, identity, healing, and what it looks like to show up like God sent you.

Sometimes we get so used to protecting ourselves from what hurt us that we don’t realize the walls we built are also blocking us from the things we’re praying for.

We’ve been hurt by a few people, so now everybody has to pay for it. We put on this “tough” exterior, carry offense, and then wonder why we struggle with friendships, love, and healthy relationships.

Not everybody is the person who hurt you. And sometimes confidence looks like knowing when it’s time to put the armor down.

This conversation with Dr. Bee really made me think about what we’re protecting ourselves from and what it might be costing us.
