I hosted the Feed Real Summit in San Diego. Two days, a sold-out room, and every question you’ve ever googled about your dog at 2am. Fresh food, senior dogs, Ayurveda, and yes, a whole talk on red light therapy. Then the hands-on workshops: herbal tinctures, balanced raw diets, fresh treats. Most of us were never taught any of this. Feed Real puts pet parents and their care teams in the same room and gets everyone talking. Follow along for the next one! How often do we talk ourselves out of what we’re feeling? In this clip from Short Leash, Dr. Barrie Sands explores intuition, the connection between our physical and emotional states, and why slowing down can help us become more aware of both. It’s an interesting conversation about how we process information, respond to our environment, and the importance of being present…something worth considering in our relationships with our dogs, too. 🐾 Do you trust your intuition, or does your brain tend to talk you out of it? 🎙️ Catch the full conversation on Short Leash with Dr. Sue Howell and Kay Stewart. #ShortLeashPodcast #CanineWellness #HumanAnimalBond #IntegrativeVeterinaryMedicine #DogHealth

Incredible weekend at the 2026 Feed Real Summit! @feedrealmovement brings together the best of the best minds, brands and animal advocates to share what’s at the forefront of companion animal wellness. I’m humbled every year to be a part of this group of humans. And, leave reminded of why we do what we do at Smallbatch. Taking the hard road, doing it the best way possible, no cutting corners, and sharing products that make pets, their people and the planet better. Thank you to @thedianita for being there this year to share first hand why the foundation of the brand is what it is. I have so much dang respect for the true entrepreneur road, especially in this industry. Thank you to all of the gurus sharing their passions and knowledge, it encourages me to keep going and growing and in my own learning. We do not have to accept disease as inevitable. Treat the dog in front of you. Be wise, immunize. But immunize wisely. Light is a nutrient. Food is the foundation. Biology is THE technology that defends.

There is no greater teacher than nature. For nature is perfect and harmonic by design. We often forget that we are part of that nature. The Shasta Field carries the energy of the root chakra of the planet. It unearths what has been buried, and clears what has died so that new growth can form. This residency is not an easy one. It challenges the mind, heart and spirit to align with the natural world. The more far removed we are from the heart of the Mother, the more intense it feels as She pulls us to surrender. I’m beyond proud of all these women. The transformation I was blessed to witness in each of them was nothing short of the Divine at work. Congratulations to all these beautiful souls. Although it takes many lifetimes to master sound, this group unpeeled another layer into the mastery of the Soundbath Arc in only a few days. I love you all. Use the rhythm of your hearts and the authenticity of your voices to bring more harmony into this world. OM. Jack.🥰 Last night on our podcast with the incredible @dr.barriesands discussing quantum and biofield entanglement, she talked about bringing our minds and hearts into coherence… an example she used to describe that experience (which I found hard to understand) was gazing into your cat’s eyes. This experience (when I pay attention to the moment) is not so hard to understand today. Thank you, Jack William.♥️

When we began filming Rescued Hearts, we knew there was one question we wanted answered: “WHY HORSES?” What is it about horses that help a child speak their first words? Why do horses seem to reach us in ways that feel different from other animals? Why can I look into a horse’s eyes and feel as though part of my soul is being seen for the first time? So we sought out answers from those who live and breathe this connection every day. Their answers were beautifully different, yet each seemed to reveal another facet of the same deeper truth. At their core, they were speaking about trust, safety, presence, and the power of simply BEING. We hope you enjoy this sacred window into Rescued Hearts. This scene is foundational to the deeper journey of the film, as we take you with us to more than 31 cities around the world to explore this connection and why it is so remarkable. And trust me, you do not have to be a horse person to be moved by this film. As we’ve shared Rescued Hearts around the world, what I now know is that somehow, this film has a way of speaking to each person exactly where they are. And I hope you give yourself the chance to experience it. Please share this scene with anyone who may need its message. The music was crafted by our brilliant composer, @brianna.tam.cello. We are eternally grateful to everyone who contributed to this scene and our film ❤️ If you want to learn more about those featured in our film, check out rescuedheartsfilm.com/featured With love, Krisanna Sexton, Director #rescuedheartsfilm #whyhorses #healingwithhorses #horsehumanconnection #horselovers
