I’ve spent the last five years becoming a Naturopathic Doctor… and somewhere along the way I became so much more than that

I wish I could fully convey all that I’ve experienced, sacrificed, learned, lost, gained, and how much I’ve grown to arrive at this moment. This journey has challenged me in ways I never could have anticipated. Not only has it shaped the kind of doctor I hope to be, but the kind of man I’m becoming

I leave this chapter deeply humbled by how much there is still to learn, and filled with gratitude for everything this path has taught me.

Most of all I’m grateful for my friends, family, and everyone who supported me throughout these years. I did not get here alone.

My hope now is to take everything I’ve learned and put it into service. To share this knowledge, continue learning, help people heal, and contribute something meaningful to the world.

Five years later, one chapter closes and another begins.

When good men gather together the whole world feels it.

Brotherhood is some of the deepest medicine I’ve experienced.

When we collaborate, instead of compete, everyone wins.

When we learn to be in right relationship with women and the world, everyone wins.

My brother @dayanimaidas and I are gathering a group of men to retreat and initiate together in the Sacred Valley of Peru to unlearn and remember what it means to show up as an integrated, masculine man.

Through hiking, ceremony, ritual and an immersion into the Andean culture, we will come together to get clear on how we can be Men of God, walking the path of leadership in a good way.

Now introducing Dr. Brittany Manz, ND !!!! 🩺👩‍⚕️❤️

This past weekend, my amazing girlfriend graduated from Bastyr University, receiving her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine as well as her Masters in Clinical Psychology! These pictures don’t even remotely do it justice to the amount of time and effort she put into this. The late hours studying, the unpaid practicum hours, the long and seemingly never ending clinic shifts. They are all finally done.

Brittany - Your drive and passion are inspiring to say the least. I love you and am so proud of everything you have accomplished as well as all the amazing things you are going to accomplish. You are truly amazing!

When Brittany first introduced me to naturopathic medicine and to Bastyr my life immediately changed for the better. I am so grateful to have met and become friends with so many beautiful people from this inspiring community and want to say Congratulations to you all! Now go out and make the world a better place! ❤️🌎

endless gratitude for my favorite chapter yet.

Spirit called us here for just a season, and damn it was a powerful one. ✧

My first time living with a partner - from hosting circles, dinners, yoga trainings, family members, friends and ceremonies in our home… I look back on this year together with reverence and in awe.

And, alongside every beauty moment of bliss and laughter, there were challenges, doubts and tears too. This home held us through the full spectrum of our human experience … I am deeply humbled and forever changed.

I was called here for the community and ocean medicine. Deep in my heart I knew this was the place to land for true, intimate connections and cleansing. I received this + more x 1000000 🤍

Heading to South America with a full and tender heart.

We made it!!! This has been the hardest and most rewarding journey of my life—crazy, empowering, deeply aligned, uncomfortable, and incredibly beautiful.

When I started at Bastyr 5 years ago I basically had no idea what I was getting into, and I could have never ever predicted how it would transform me and flip my world upside down.

It brought me closer to myself and my human-ness. Taught me how to connect to the deepest parts of myself and nature. How to quiet enough to listen to the body’s intelligence and connect to true healing through identifying root cause and practicing health medicine, not disease medicine.

It taught me humility. Surrounded by doctors/supervisors embodying true care and love for their patients. Showing us how to hold somebody through pain, discomfort, and confusion from not feeling safe in their own body. They selflessly set the standard through the way they practiced medicine, leading by example and showing us what it means to truly see another person. That has completely changed the way I move through the world.

It challenged me in ways that had me meeting the ends of myself over and over and over again. Medical school is absolutely no joke and the science and nutrition and botanical medicine and pharmacology was all hardcore, but deeper than the textbooks it taught me how to think like a doctor. It completely changed my brain and thinking process. It built confidence in my decision making and ability to connect with my heart to lead others back to themselves taking one step at a time towards true healing the best ways I know how.

I’m bursting with gratitude and love and honor. I can’t fully express the spectrum of things moving through me right now after we just conquered the final school boss, but I want to thank all of you that held me, encouraged me, supported me, and loved me through this process. I’m so excited to step into myself more fully as a doctor and healer and remind people what it feels like to be alive and connected and healthy and loved and supported as I join their team.

Deeper and deeper and deeper we must go. Where?
.
Into here, this moment. Where everything happens, where opportunity awaits. Every breath is a chance to see. Through the body lies an epoch to feel the channel pulse..
.
The external world mirrors that which has not been fully developed or explored. The 3D reality is a screen to see how integrated I am, and where I am not.
.
How I see everything is a reflection of my own consciousness in a layered experience. Which character has not yet been fully seen? What part has not fully been processed?
.
The working in one area increases activation to enliven the circuitry in another. Bring it to life.
.
Takeaway: Start with the breath. Notice what triggers me, there lies a potential fragment.
.
Only I hold the force to my field of expanding consciousness.
What that means is, I hold the key, no one else can turn it for me, but everyone else plays a role in how deeply I can see it.. You know?

Integrating from a weekend of deep medicine.

Among the medicines of music, dance, nature… the most potent medicine was the authentic community connection.

When we tune into the frequency of ceremony, we receive a deep mirror into the full spectrum of life.

We laughed, we wept, we played, we prayed, we looked at our shadows, we sang, we danced, and we broke bread together.

It’s such a gift and a blessing to hold these transformational spaces… but even more of an honor to witness how much aliveness can be activated in someone in a span of 48 hours.

This team, this family, this path…

Thank you God.
