My parents founded the Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation in 1988 when I was just two years old. Its history is woven into my childhood and it has always held a special place in my heart. When I was just starting my family, I told my dad that I wanted to be the director of the foundation and I had an idea for my first program. 10 years, and four babies later, it’s time to get to work.

Last night, I was formally announced as the new Managing Director of the Green Family Foundation and we introduced our newest program - Harper’s Hope. This program was inspired by my own experience as a mother when Harper was born six weeks early and spent a week in the NICU. It is my hope and prayer that we can love and support other parents, and their tiny precious babies, the way we were loved and supported. I know Giving Tuesday was yesterday, but please consider donating to help us launch this important initiative. You can give at the link in my bio or reach out directly to me.

Flashback to a week ago. What an honor it was to co-chair the 2023 Tin Cup Awards alongside my friend and colleague, Brandon Webb. Congratulations to each of the honorees, the slate was incredible.

To my friend, Marcus Mason, thank you for your vision, leadership and support and for entrusting Brandon and I with this task.

To Danielle and the entire WGRG team, thank you for the work that you do to ensure that African American lobbyists are seen and supported.

And to my co-chair, you made this process so amazing. We truly had a time and the evening couldn’t have been more perfect.

I am where I am today because of the men and women who paved the way, broke down barriers and lifted as they climbed.

In the immortal words of Howlie Davis, nearly 15 years ago ā€œThe Tin Cup Awards will become a seminal dinner in Washington.ā€ I’m proud to have played a role in continuing the legacy.

Honored to serve as a co-chair of the 2023 Tin Cup Awards alongside my friend and colleague, Brandon Webb.

This is always a very special night for me because it honors the men and women who paved the way for myself and so many others to exist in the federal government & regulatory affairs space. Because of them, We Did.

Save the date for July 19th. It is going to be a night to remember.

Also - today’s #TBT is in honor of some of my favorite Tin Cup moments! #WGRG
