POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
We are kicking off day four at the 2025 IMWA World Masters and Adaptive Championships with our special feature of Paul LaDuke. Paul competed today in the M55 110kg category posting a 185kg total. Paul is 58 years old and has been in the sport of weightlifting for 21 years! Outside of the sport, Paul is a professor of athletic training at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. We asked Paul in his reflection over the last 21 years in the sport what his key takeaways would be. Here is what he had to say.

“The self-discipline that it takes to constantly train even when you don’t feel like it bleeds into all other areas of life, where you drag yourself into the weight room and do a training session just to train because you know you have a competition going on, and that you’re preparing for soon. That discipline, when you’re not motivated, just bleeds into other areas of life.”
