summer camp this week in the sawtooths👇🏻

Welp, I might just be spending my summer in Stanley, Idaho. It’s been almost three weeks of *summa camp* & we haven’t left yet.

It’s been a very very very nice change of pace 💖

This week included summiting the tallest peak in the sawtooths, my first crash on my mountain bike, going to live music three days a week, working from the library daily & lots of moo time outside at camp 🫶

If you’re coming to Stanley, Idaho this summer, here’s a few of my favorites:
- redfish lake (rentals & live music three days a week)
- Stanley bakery
- sawtooth hotel restaurant (best in town IMO)
- pool at Rod & Gun
- summit Thompson peak (tallest peak)
- bench lakes hike
- thursday block party at Kasino Klub
- swim at Stanley lake
- sunbeam hot springs

June dump ✨

Feeling like the luckiest girl that I spent the whole month adventuring around the Tetons. I’ve gotten to see a lot of my favorite faces, build a routine, get my health back, find joy and catch some fish. This place will forever have a piece of my heart!

A magical moment during one of the coolest hikes I’ve ever been on. A butterfly flew directly to us and stayed for our whole shoot making the photos even more special. Thanks @dr_linden for the incredible shots!

An oldie, but goodie. Incredible image and an even better caption about inspiration by @dr_linden. Shot details: Canon 6D + Tokina 16-28 f/2.8 + Slik Tripod.

picture this: it’s midnight. a full moon is high above. you’re standing on top of a natural bridge on the Oregon coast, 50+ feet above the frigid pacific ocean with no lights and you must stand perfectly still otherwise your buddy will get pissed you ruined his photo. this was that photo.

One thing I struggle with in the world of social media is consistency. Especially, as a photographer, creating for a platform that doesn’t even seem to support photos much anymore isn’t always something I have motivation to do. As many of you have noticed, I’ll often go months, sometimes even more than a year without posting. This isn’t a deliberate break or from lack of content to share. Photos are a passion of mine but social media is not. And for now, I don’t believe in forcing my creative process into that bottleneck.

So for those of you who stick around and always support the images I do share, thank you. I appreciate you. The support does not go unnoticed.

This is an image from earlier this summer, with my good friend @eye.of.ty where we stayed up all night shooting Astro. That night and this photo felt like a good reminder of why I love Astro photography. After not doing much of it last summer, this was an image I was excited to share as soon as I captured it.

That feeling and these kind of images are what I want to share more of in the future on social media. So even if my posts aren’t consistent, know the authenticity behind them is. Thanks for reading 🙂
