OMG! What a gift 😮 @elevatesd Solana Beach is partnering with Solana Beach Wellness Collective to offer our practice members 20% off classes and memberships at Elevate Training. Lagree, versa, infrared sauna all available in Solana Beach location. My personal favorite, Vista location, has childcare 😍 other locations include 4S Ranch, Carmel Valley & downtown. Look great. It was my preferred method of working out during pregnancy and now postpartum. @pelvitone.physical.therapy agrees that we love Lagree for postpartum moms once their pelvic floor is ready to work out again 💃🏻

This week is about gratitude. I want to personally thank @foxpointfarms and their entire staff for everything they do for us. It’s a privilege to gather there every Friday, and I never want us to take that for granted. It came to my attention that a couple people were unkind to the parking attendants because the lot was full. Please remember, they’re doing their job and the parking situation isn’t their fault. And we live in Encinitas. Walking a couple blocks outside to get to Feel Good Friday isn’t such a bad thing. It’s also incredibly expensive to operate a place like Fox Point Farms. They open their doors to us every week, so let’s make sure we support them in return. Order some food or coffee. Tip the staff. Clean up after ourselves. Most importantly, show everyone who works there the same kindness and appreciation we want The Group to represent. We all have things going on in our lives, but gratitude and kindness don’t cost us anything. How we treat people in the small moments says a lot about who we are. Thank you Fox Point Farms for believing in our community and giving us a place to connect every week. We appreciate you and love you. Be grateful. Be kind. Be better together.

The 5 Minute Features we do at each chapter have honestly become one of my favorite parts of The Group. Watching two people at each chapter get up in front of the community and tell their story has been pretty amazing. Some people are comfortable speaking. Some are nervous. Some have never done anything like it before. But that’s the point. This isn’t a presentation. You don’t need a PowerPoint. You don’t need to sell anything. You don’t need to be a professional speaker. You just need to be you. It’s five minutes to tell your story, be vulnerable, step outside your comfort zone and connect with the people around you. I’ve watched people grow from doing this. I’ve watched the community rally around them. I’ve watched people in the audience hear something they needed to hear that day. You get support, but you also give support. You inspire people and you leave inspired yourself. So many people have told me, “This is like a mini TEDx Talk.” So I decided it needed a name. GROUPx Talks Five minutes. Your story. Our community. But since The Group has always belonged to the community, I want you guys to help choose the logo. Look through the logos and VOTE for your favorite in the comments. Comment 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 below. Whichever one the community chooses becomes the new GROUPx Talks logo. And if you’ve been sitting there thinking you have a story to tell, maybe it’s time to put your name down for your five minutes. You don’t have to be ready. Sometimes you just have to be willing.
