Your face isn’t a collection of separate features. So why treat it like one?

For Dr Maude, continuing to train in facial harmonisation, regeneration and healthy ageing is part of evolving alongside the medicine and continually questioning how we can treat the face more thoughtfully.

@shirleyballas reaction to her own before & after says it all… 👀

Looking back at her NeoGen journey and even she can’t quite believe the difference.

A more defined jawline. Fine lines visibly softened. A clearer, more even skin tone with those sun spots and marks dramatically reduced. And an overall fresher, brighter complexion.

The photos really do speak for themselves.

After her latest treatment with @dr_maude at @ouronyx , Shirley is seeing just how far her NeoGen journey has come and why she keeps coming back to NeoGen.

No fillers.
No surgery.
Just the power of NeoGen.

This is skin regeneration you can actually see.

The conversation around youthful skin is changing, and I think it is a really positive shift. ✨

For years, the focus was largely on radiance and wrinkles. But skin density takes us deeper, into the collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid and extracellular matrix that give skin its strength, structure and resilience over time. 🧬

And this is where nutrition becomes really interesting. The dermis depends on an adequate supply of amino acids, vitamins, minerals and essential fats, which is why what we eat and how we support our overall health matters alongside good topical skincare and, of course, daily photoprotection.

I spoke to Harper’s Bazaar UK about the nutrients that matter most for skin structure, including protein, vitamin C, omega 3s and carotenoids, as well as one of the supplement mistakes I see most often in clinic. 👉

Thank you Jessica Harris for such a great feature and for giving the science the space it deserves. Lovely to share the page with Dr Maude!. 🤍

The best aesthetic results don’t come from treating one issue in isolation — they come from understanding the face as a whole.

@dr_maude from @ouronyx makes the point that treating just the upper face with Botox while ignoring everything below it creates an imbalance — and adding volume to the cheeks without considering how that change affects every other proportion on the face is exactly how you end up with results that look off without being able to explain why.

She explains that true facial harmony comes from treating the skin, the muscles and the structure in layers — and thinking not just about what looks good today but what makes sense for that face in five, ten and twenty years time. It’s the difference between a quick fix and a long term plan.

Biostimulators are having a real moment right now — but are they worth the hype?

@dr_maude from @ouronyx breaks it down beautifully.

Unlike fillers which add volume from the outside, biostimulators work by triggering your own body’s regenerative processes — encouraging collagen, elastin and new tissue to form naturally over time. But not all biostimulators do the same thing, and choosing the wrong one for the wrong reason is one of the most common mistakes in aesthetics right now.

As Dr Maude explains, the treatment has to match the outcome you’re actually looking for.

Are fillers still a good idea? 💉

Leading aesthetic doctor @dr_maude from @ouronyx says yes — but only when the right type is used in the right place.

Not all fillers are the same — they come in very different densities and each one behaves completely differently in the face.

Put a thick filler in the lips and it won’t move naturally. Put a light filler where you need bone support and it disappears immediately.

The migration, the pillow face, the results that don’t look right — more often than not it comes down to that one decision.

Would you still consider trying filler?

Comment SKIN and I’ll send you links to this week’s episode 💛

What are the aesthetic treatments that actually make a difference as we age?

@dr_maude from @ouronyx joins me on The Health Review to cut through the noise of the aesthetic industry.

What makes Ouronyx different from almost every other clinic is that before any treatment is even discussed, they scan your face in 3D, photograph it and walk you through what’s actually happening to your facial structure — bone, fat, volume, harmony — so you understand what you’re working with before you make any decisions.

We also get into what’s really happening to the face over time, the treatments that work with your own biology rather than against it, why biostimulators are having such a moment right now and what an educated approach to ageing well actually looks like.

I had the consultation myself before we recorded and it completely changed how I think about my own face.
