Do you know how to use Foundation Crochet Stitches? If not and it’s something you’d like to have a go at then there are a few spaces left on
Sharon Carter of @dragonhillstudio workshop. The workshop is on Saturday afternoon and you’ll learn this extremely useful technique which allows you to work the chain and first row simultaneously, resulting in an even, stretchy foundation. You will also learn how to combine different stitches for a ripple pattern, mesh pattern etc , as well as how to easily add stitches at the end of a row, make buttonholes, and create handles. Now that sounds like a great way to finish the afternoon at Yarndale.

Skills Needed: This is an Intermediate class and not suitable for beginners. You must be confident working a chain, double crochet & treble crochet.

🧶Tunisian Mosaic Crochet is on Emma’s list of things to learn this year. Is it on yours? 🧶

If you’ve always fancied having a go then we have just the workshop for you with the fabulous Sharon Carter of @dragonhillstudio.
Sharon has lead many workshops for us over the years and they always sell out quickly.

This is a Sunday workshop and you’ll learn how to create intricate colour-work designs working with only 1 colour at a time to make a handy coaster. You will learn to read mosaic crochet charts (written instructions also provided), how to work the extended stitch used for this technique and you can also have a go at designing your own mosaic pattern. For all the details head over to our website.

Balfolk Oxford and Oxfolk so enjoyed hosting the Oxford date on Cosmos Chocolat’s UK tour. Properly magical. Thank you so much to our dance teacher Kerry Fletcher, who with Chris Walshaw, made learning some of those steps so m uch easier.

Finally, they're washed and ready to wear. The yarn is from a self striping club box from @dragonhillstudio the colourway is "dad's sherry trifle". I have some yarn left so may try to squeeze out a short pair of socks or some hand warmers. I was so sorry to hear about the problems dragonhill studio are having and send all best wishes to them.
