I am so proud of my hubby.
He has diabetes for years. His sugar level hovered at 8 and never went down till now.

We had been religiously focusing on a relatively healthy lifestyle without going crazy.

David started his journey by resetting his body through an Ayurvedic lifestyle plan set out by Dr Ratheesh for 2 months….thanks @egawellness

He had been drinking his raw veggie juice daily and increased intake of veggies in his diet, cut down on all white products like rice, sugar, potato and flour, bakes less with white flour and uses more flour alternatives like almond flour, and eats largely plant based meals…thanks to our nutritionist Ally @dragonfitnessandcoaching

He had also been supporting his health with good quality nutritional supplements from @usanainc And do note, we don’t believe in weight loss supplements. There are NO SUCH THING as weight loss supplements because there are NO SHORT CUTS. These supplements he had were basically core nutrients that benefit his total health and well-being like Celsentials which are core minerals and antioxidants, Biomega, which is concentrated omega-3 fats from fish oil plus vitamin D, Proflavanol which consists of Grape-seed extract (source of health-protecting bioflavonoids) and vitamin C, and CoQuinone which consists of coenzyme Q10 and alpha-lipoic acid.

He had stuck to a discipline of regular long brisk walks and strength training at the gym…thanks
to our personal trainer @elfi_stockman

At his medical check up today, his sugar level dropped significantly that the doc took him off one medication.

This is a moment to celebrate. It took years of hard work for him and his belief that he is totally in charge of his health.

We have got one more pill that we are targeting for the doc to remove by beginning of 2022.

This milestone is enough to convince us that he can take charge of his health but he can’t do it alone. It took an army to get him to where he is suppose to be with his health.

Great morning with holistic nutritionist Ally van de Pol of Dragon Fitness & Coaching. I’ve come away stuffed with great ideas for revamping my summer menu. If you’re stuck in a food rut and looking for some healthy recipe inspiration (lunch always seems to be a drama, I’m often found resorting to a good old fashioned sandwich - which always feels a bit bread overload - or a ‘light’ salad and then being hungry/hangry all afternoon 🤦🏻‍♀️ which of course always leads to a chocolate Hobnob or three mid-afternoon), it’s all coming in our July issue... 🌱 🥜 🥘 🥗 😋 #healthyfood #holistichealth #getupandgo
