22. SOLO
23. MANIFESTO
24. FIATO
25. BARATTOLO
26. PESCA
27. CIMA
28. TEMPORALE

come funziona:

Tadpole Shrimp 🦂🪲🦐

Actually neither a tadpole nor a shrimp 💀🥀 but it’s a crustacean that is specialized for living in temporary freshwater ponds. Their secret for their success lies in their eggs, because the eggs can survive for a very long time without water at all, even decades. The eggs just stop developing, as long as they are kept dry. The adults only live for around one month tho and they have a appetite for rice and other plants, they even eat mosquito larvae that could carry the deadly west nile virus. 🗿

"The Ediacaran biota comprises the oldest known communities of multicellular organisms, evidenced by fossils found in rocks dating back to the late Neoproterozoic (Ediacaran) period around the world. The interpretation of these findings is the subject of much debate, although today many authors tend to classify at least some of the Ediacaran forms as actual animals. To date, there have been few attempts to represent and animate these unique ecosystems in 3D. The aim of this project is therefore to reconstruct one of the best-known Ediacaran deposits, that of the Ediacara Hills (southern Australia, 555 million years ago).
This work therefore aims to create an educational tool that engages users through an immersive virtual reality environment, allowing them to discover the Ediacaran biota through introductory notes and a series of informative graphics for each organism. The virtual environment features several species typical of the Ediacara hills, animated so that they move around the viewer as if they were alive, on the seabed of a shallow sea. All elements of the reconstruction are based on information obtained from various scientific publications on the subject. Each creature can be clicked on to open the relevant information panel.
The product can be used to accompany museum exhibitions or for educational purposes, modifying the informative texts according to the context. In the current version, it is aimed at hypothetical adult/teenage museum visitors. The program can be used either through a viewer connected to a computer or through a simple screen, using a mouse or a touch interface."
