You don’t have to leave Nigeria to miss home. 🥹 One person misses Ekuru, and she’s still in Nigeria. Another misses Okpa. A customer’s friend in the US drove for hours for Ewa Aganyin, when she would have preferred homemade. Same crop, different home. Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, every home has its own beans. The boxes aren’t ready yet, but you can watch me build them, mistakes included. What bean dish did your grandmother make that nobody outside your tribe knows? Teach me. #DayFour #DrBeans #TheBeansRepublic #Tquart #NigerianFood TasteOfHome Okpa Danwake Ekuru

Someone asked me, “Dr Beans, why do you care so much about beans?” 😅 I took it as a compliment. 3am wake-ups, basins on our heads, firewood (yes, firewood!), and a queue that never waited for anybody. I didn’t just grow up around beans. I grew up inside beans. Day 3 is where it all began. Watch till the end, and tell me in the comments: Akara, moin moin, ekuru, ewa agoyin, adalu, or rice and beans. Which one do you miss? #DayThree #DrBeans #TheBeansRepublic #Tquart #Akara NigerianFood BeansRepublic TasteOfHome

Yesterday I said you’d see the factory, the team, the mistakes, the wins. Then I remembered... I forgot the farm! 😅 Here’s why it matters. A customer in the US called me about beans that smelled of chemicals. They weren’t from us, but I still helped, because I want Nigerians to be safe with beans, whoever sells them. Trust in food starts from the farm. #Day 2 of rebuilding Tquart as The Beans Republic. Come with me. 🇳🇬 Have you ever bought beans that didn’t smell right? 👇🏾 #nigerianbeans #foodsafety #NigerianFood #TheBeansRepublic Tquart

Two weeks in China, one question I can’t shake: why can’t we do this with our own food? 🇨🇳 I saw one grain become so many different meals, and I saw the system behind every plate: farm, processing, packaging, trust. Nobody was treating their local food as “just food.” I came home to Lagos and made a decision. Tquart isn’t going to be just another food brand. It’s going to be The Beans Republic. Nigerian bean dishes, made super easy, without losing what is ours. Day 1 of showing you everything: the factory, the team, the mistakes, the wins. Come with me. I have a lot to show you. 🇳🇬 Which Nigerian bean dish should we start with? 👇🏾 Super grateful for @lagosstategovt, His Excellency Governor Babajide SanwoOlu, @lagos.agrinnovation @lagosmoa Ministry of Agriculture and Food systems, the Honorable Commissioner@abi_olusanya @lagos.ssgoffice @lagosmoa and for the opportunity. 🙏🏾 📍 Changsha & Xi’an, China #nigerianbeans #nigerianfood #agritech #thebeansrepublic #tquart

True transformation happens when global insights meet local action. My experience at the 2026 Nigeria Agricultural Technology Cooperation Training in China was truly eye-opening. From Hunan, Changsha to Xi’an, I experienced first hand how technology, innovation, infrastructure, and long-term thinking can transform agriculture and strengthen food systems. Beyond the training, I also enjoyed the culture, hospitality, local markets, electric tricycles and of course, the famous Biang Biang noodles! 🍜🔥 Grateful to the @lagosstategovt, His Excellency Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, @lagos.agrinnovation @lagosmoa Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, the Honourable Commissioner @abi_olusanya, and @lagos.ssgoffice for making this opportunity possible. Special appreciation to MOFCOM, China, Hunan Agricultural Science Group Co., Ltd., and our facilitators for a remarkable programme. Shout out to our phenomenal team leads, Dr Rice, PS, Agric, PS, Cabinet Office and my colleagues who made the learning experience a memorable one @tquart_foods @drbeans_diaries @tracydabul @olumide__david @ultrafarmsng @sweetcornng @farmwithgrf @_coconoto @farm2fill and others. Now, the real work begins: turning global lessons into local solutions for a more productive and sustainable Nigerian agricultural sector. 📍 Changsha & Xi’an, China #Agribusiness #Agritech #AgriculturalTransformation #FoodSecurity #ChinaNigeria
