Is it normal to feel totally burnt out from dating—even when you still want love?

Yes. And there’s a name for it: Dating Fatigue.

When dating starts to feel like unpaid emotional labor, it’s not a personal failure.
It’s your nervous system saying, “I can’t keep doing this without care and repair.”

In this episode of We Need To Talk with Dr. Darcy Sterling, we’re unpacking the signs of dating burnout, what it does to your body and brain—and how to reset before you give up on something you still want.

We all try to communicate to our partners with our eyes. We think we're telepathic because we think our partners can read our minds!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but YOUR PARTNER IS NOT A MIND READER. Neither are you.

Communicate effectively about what bothered you in a more private and appropriate setting.

Consider the root of your jealousy. Is this trauma from a past relationship? Is the current relationship lacking trust? It's time to look inward because jealousy is a YOU problem.

WHO KNEW!? More on this topic in my JEALOUSY story highlight ☝️#drdarcy #askdrdarcy

Are you and your partner doing activities, TOGETHER?
.
Look, I get it, our lives are busy and our schedules may never match but @stephsterling and I always schedule 1 day of the week for family dinner!
.
We both work full-time + have four furry children to take care of, and it's easy to get wrapped up in everything we do for our clients that we forgot about spending time together and feeding our relationship. So, every Sunday is non-negotiable Family Night💜
.
Take the time to find an activity you and your partner will BOTH, enjoy + then put it on the calendar! #drdarcy #askdrdarcy #sterlingstandard
.
What are some activities you and your significant other do together? Or want to do together! I want to hear from you......to get ideas! 🤣👇
