Back in student mode for a few days and honestly? I love it here 😂📚✨

Excited to attend the NewSchools Summit and learn more about charter schools, innovative education models, and what’s working for students across the country. I’m always looking for ways to grow, think bigger, and sharpen my craft in education.

Plus… getting to do all of that in San Francisco? Yeah, I’m not mad at it at all 🌉😂

Still a little in shock from winning Teacher of the Year for my school, but I also won Blue Ribbon Teacher of the Year 💙 for the district. 🥹 👉🏼👈🏼 (25 educators were selected across 160 schools & 6,000 teachers)

Thank you @nashvillepef for making us feel seen in an extremely undervalued profession 🙏🏼✨

🎶✨ What an unforgettable experience for our Warner Elementary Choir! Our Cool Cats had the incredible honor of performing “I Believe I Belong” alongside talented high school artists from the MNPS Songwriting Summit at the Nashville Public Education Foundation Hall of Fame Celebration.

Together, they delivered a powerful performance that celebrated belonging, creativity, and the beauty of collaboration. 🌟 Our young performers sang with confidence and professionalism beyond their years—living out what it means to be true artists.

Experiences like this remind us why partnerships matter. Through community collaboration, our students gain real-world opportunities to grow, perform, and shine brightly on meaningful stages. 💫

Dreams take building. Early this year I got a call from @drdmgeorge he said he was building a program for BIPOC teachers I said he before he even asked for my help. For 5 months we’ve been working with @_seattleteacherresidency_ & @uofwa building with the backbone of our society ; EDUCATORS !

#KEEPWRKING

The C-Suite is a leadership development program that empowers BIPOC educators through transformative leadership
development, fostering a community that champions excellence, resilience, and growth. By building
capacity, enhancing professional networks, and reaffirming commitment to the field, we strive to elevate
BIPOC educators as leaders who inspire change, advocate for equity, and uplift the next generation. More
importantly, the program positions them to be chief executives in their classrooms and their careers as they
navigate the profession.

Thank to all of this years participants. More to come.
