Last night we started regular rehearsals for Nanay. We saw presentations from our wonderful production team and heard the primary cast read through the newest version of the play. I cannot over emphasize how AMAZING this show is going to be. The shared vision is just so beautiful <3 I am immensely fortunate to be part of this production with such incredible individuals!

Thank you @marissaconqueso for the brilliant pictures!
These are the best pictures we’ve got for our debut album release tour and we’re so grateful!

This is @cheerful__cat ! We love her so much!

I wanted our merch booth to be filled with fun and whimsy. You can see @thebadartmachine !

@drea.marilyn is going to make her wedding invitations based on this photo of her and Bjørn

🎤 PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT: DREA CASTILLO 🎤

Help us welcome Drea Castillo to Tita Ester’s Family Party!

Drea Castillo is a queer Filipina composer, singer-songwriter, and educator. She plays guitar and sings in local indie band @bonita.fishwife, who are releasing their debut album on August 31 and embarking on a West Coast tour. She is also the Program Manager at Bushwick Book Club Seattle, a book club that hires songwriters to write songs inspired by their book of the month.

We’re so excited to have Drea share her music and artistry as part of this celebration of Filipino community, creativity, and storytelling.

📍 Tita Ester’s Family Party
🗓 Thursday, July 30
🕕 6:00–7:00 PM
📍 Pier 58, Salish Steps at Waterfront Park

Come celebrate with Drea and our incredible lineup of performers as your favorite Filipina auntie hosts an evening of music, laughter, and community by the waterfront! 🎉💙

UPDATE!! Our album release show is in a week at @bycseattle !! We updated the entrance to the venue!! We’re playing with our brother band @accendino (fun fact: Nick, our bassist plays guitar for them) and our dear friends @sweetmarilyn.xo (other fun fact: we’re going on to tour with them!

@bolognathetoni @bjorn_watkins @drea.marilyn and Nick are also excited to introduce you to our drummer: @cheerful__cat ! She’s killer on the drums and a great hang overall.

The 2010s business casual was sort of a joke, but you should do it anyways. Come dressed in your favorite outfit.

We’re also going to have a DIY vending machine where you can win some good bad art.🖼️
