Helicopters, performance boating, & blue skies - things that are just another day in the life for this crew. I’ve watched the @speedboatmagazine_sb.mag magic from the sidelines since I was a kiddo and remember thinking it was the coolest thing in the world looking up at the sky and seeing my brother & @tommygunimages in the helicopter taking flight like it was straight out of a movie. Learning more about the behind the scenes from @annatomsufrazier and what it takes to be a brand manager for @mercuryracing to @leeraymond and the decades of devotion to keeping a magazine alive in years of the media pivoting, it’s all a reminder that big dreams are attainable. A collection of talented individuals in motion can create something timeless. This is a reminder to all of you that even though this is “normal” life for you, there is a younger generation watching and being inspired. No matter the industry, if it relates to my specific job or not, there’s something empowering about watching what happens when a team stays committed to a vision. Even though I get to just pop in every now and again from being Carter’s sis & the opportunities Tommy has brought to me, I truly enjoy watching all of you collaborate and create something badass every single time. From dinners to events, you’ve all welcomed me in like family. So while you all call this a normal day of work, just know that it’s a privilege getting a sneak peek into the production process of teams, events, photography / videography, and brands that will outlive every single one of you. This is your legacy, it’s your purpose, and it’s a reminder that your calling has a ripple effect on the next generation. Fly safe & boat safe today!🏁 Love you all.

I always knew, deep down, that photography was just going to the stepping stone to something bigger. Two things, well 3, kept me on the path. 1. A genuine passion. Nothing lit me up inside more than seeing a badass image online, in a magazine, or up on a huge building (& it still does). 2. Conversations. Anyone in business - I wanted to know the how, what, when, where, and why. 3. Patience & Prayer. I hit dead-ends when I neglect my spirituality. My life gets fudged when I try to hijack divine timing. I think we all want to do something with our time that makes a positive impact on ourselves and the world around us. Leadership, writing, even journalism was a part of my story before I ever picked up a camera. Now, in launching @dreamlikebrooke I have had the privilege of colliding my photography with my words to tell stories, document rad people, and talk about what matters, all to inspire the next generation of dreamers. It was never about the cameras, it was about how this career challenged me to grow. If I just wanted $, I would have stuck to plan A: the medical field. Instead, I listened to a nudge and chose the path I felt was better for me. To the doctors out there, yes I’m 100% drooling over your Porsche (& congrats plz take me for a ride), but when I reflect on my portfolio, I wouldn’t change my choice. Maybe there’s a future version of me with those funny bucket list purchases I pin to Pinterest, but for today I’m eternally grateful for the type of career I’ve been blessed to design. I don’t model skills that can be Googled - I help you build confidence in unconventional careers that fuel your passions. I document what can’t be found on an internet search, the honesty I was craving as a kid. I reveal the BTS moments of self-employment that make social media feel more human. This can only be discovered through real conversation. Aspiration is valuable, but we need reasons to keep us going, stories that stick with us, and strong leaders to follow. So yes, I am all for celebrating honest & impressive wins, but I’m even more interested in your story and how it can change lives. @dreamlikebrooke 🎙️💻🎬

how on earth is this real life?!🌊🌅✨🎬 14 year old me is speechless. From creating vision boards as a kiddo with an idea and a camera, to putting myself outside of my comfort zone constantly, falling in love with late nights editing, and striving to do my best one job at a time, my dream became my reality. I’m extremely thankful to every single one of you for supporting my photography business and my journey. This May, it’s been 5 years post college grad, and I’m elated that the business has expanded to two states. Additionally, sharing my story with @dreamlikebrooke has filled my cup in more ways than I ever expected and I’m so happy it’s been inspiring + impacting young entrepreneurs. Cheers to an incredible spring season. Summer… I’m SO ready for you and the rad shoots you bring. I want to give you all a big giant hug for following along and encouraging me to never give up on my passions. If you’re anything like me and you want MORE out of life, find something that fills your heart more than dollar signs. Find people that treat you like gold and don’t settle for anything less than the life you envision for yourself. where it all began ~ this is the spot where @havasumediaproductions filmed my very first @brookebahdephotography promo video telling the story of a girl with a big dream to create a life of meaning for herself. 🌺🌊 Oh boy, this adventure has been filled with highs and lows and an incredible amount of growth. The person I needed to become to sustain an entrepreneurial path could only be learned by the action of throwing myself into environments that made me feel small. Little by little, day by day, I became the artist of my lifestyle. With God opening doors that hustle could have never brought, and a heart devoted to doing my part behind the scenes, I have been blessed by the opportunity to capture real life for a living. #brookebahdephotography Now, almost coming up on one year of the launch of #dreamlikebrooke , my world is flooded with an additional purpose. From one dream to the next, and maybe a million more in the future, I’m happy to have learned from a young age that entrepreneurship is far from a solo mission.
