COME TO MY ASTORIA STREET TREE CARE EVENT!
🌳🍀🌲🌴☘️🌿🍃🌱
TREES! TREES! TREES!

Do you need to touch grass? Do you want to feel part of the community? Do you love trees?
Come to my Astoria street tree care event next Saturday, April 4th at 9am in front of Broadway Library! This event is held with the Parks Department, who will provide all of the materials and tools, we just need the volunteers!

Register at https://tinyurl.com/astoriatrees

Did you know trees remove 1,100 tons of air pollution every year in NYC? They protect biodiversity, mitigate flood damage, cool our cities, improve our mental health, and so much more!

As Spring is approaching, come spend time outside and tend to the trees that you may not notice everyday but that bring small joys into everyone’s life. Let’s take care of them as they take care of us. We will be cleaning trash and litter of the tree beds, aerating soil, weeding, and finally mulching the tree beds so that they can have a bountiful spring <3

Our next featured cabaret performer is Mari (who made the amazing Rachmaninoff animation you may have seen on our page last week)! She’ll be performing “Meditation” during Then & Now on Thursday, which “speaks of a sweet longing for a past time - it could be related to a person you miss who was once in your life, but it could also be a past phase in your life, a kind of nostalgia, or even a time in society when things felt more calm. The song calls on perseverance and faith to get through the present - reminiscing on the past and being hopeful for the future. Meditating on the beautiful, fond moments yet to come.” ✨

Don’t miss the chance to hear (and meditate upon) Mari’s beautiful performance on 3/19 - we hope to see you there in person or have you join us on the livestream! 💜

💻💫A DREAM COME TRUE~!🫧🌐

Still reeling from the fun and joy and beauty of the handmade sites workshop I hosted with @qnscollaborative last Saturday. Big thank you to the Queens Collaborative for championing my vision and creating a space for creativity. Thank you everyone who attended and brought their creativity and attention. It was so beautiful to see that there is a strong desire still for personal expression in a space so oversaturated today with monopolies and corporations and homogeneity. You can see some of the sites created at the gallery on handmade-sites.neocities.org.
DEMOCRATIZE WEB! CODE WEIRD PERSONAL WEBSITES! The web is for us <3

~ ANGEL NUMBERS ~

Hands down my favorite mari.zone micro site thus far. It’s an angel number phone wallpaper generator, with a random (or not so random) angel number, affirming word and randomized radial gradients. Generate an image (refresh as many times until you find one you love) and save the image to set as your phone wallpaper!!! Send pics of your fav generated image 🖤

Special thank you to @qshan for dev support and @bebritney for helping brainstorm affirming words 🫶🏽

As usual best on desktop, link in bio 🔗

❤️‍🔥 D U M P I E S ❤️‍🔥

As a chronically online girl, my desktop is constantly cluttered with random media and visuals. I wanted to create a visual representation of my desktop, a desktop museum if u will. Every so often I dump my desktop contents into the site and the site live updates with the stuff on my desktop :) check it out ONLY ON DESKTOP THO 🔫🔫🔫
