Sejujurnya gak yang jago masak tapi buat ibu apa yang enggak, semua menu dicobaa ＼(^-^)／ so if anyone asks what I do during my stay here; I cook a lot 🍳🍽

Most of the recipes for August I took from the Samsung Food app (because I can insert other recipes I find in other apps too), and other recipes I took from Instagram (and tagged) (mana tau ada yang mau coba juga)

stop ajalah mbg itu, om tante kakak semua mendingan hire aku aja, dijamin makanan bergizi dan bervariasi 😇🙏

Yes, I added rice.

Because rice isn’t bad, and neither are carbohydrates. I had trained that morning, so I added a moderate portion to my red lentil beef curry.

The full meal:

Protein: 44g
Net carbs: 52g
Fat: 12g
Fiber: 9g

And to be transparent, sometimes my struggle isn’t necessarily what I eat. It’s how much I eat.

In this season of grief and stress, the cravings have been real. I’ve been very aware of the moments when I eat more than I intended, and I’m working on it without turning food into the enemy or pretending I always get it right.

This midlife journey requires us to shift the way we do some things. For me, that means paying attention not only to what I eat, but also to how much and what may be happening beneath the craving.

Midlife isn’t a pause. It’s a shift.

Recipe inspired by @Drew_Eats_

What are you having to shift in this season?

By the way, I said “red beans” in the video. They’re red lentils. There is a difference. 😅

This is a Chicken Nanban from @drew_eats_ that I made for my kids lunch while I was at work.
I just switched the cabbage with salads, that's all I had left!
