This new work is live at the @themoodyarts @riceuniversity and will be up for the upcoming academic year! My piece, “Wilderness no longer at the edge of things,” for the Tent Series: by day it’s a collage; at night it’s activated by a 25-minute narrative video. Excited to have a tent alongside commissioned tents by Preston Gaines and Dario Robleto! Please join me at the public opening, Sep 10, 6-8, but also plan to watch the video after dark. Thank you to the Moody Center for the Arts for commissioning this work. The video was made possible in part by support from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance. Thank you to Drew Bacon (@drewbaconstudio ) for video editing work. @houstonartsalliance @houstonmoca

Clementine Maconachie to greet you before you even open the door. Check out this mid-century modern reno in Dallas at our link in bio. Australian artist Clementine Maconachie transforms steel, brass, and stone into sculptural forms that feel impossibly soft and fluid. Hand-shaped through a deeply physical process, her work explores balance, tension, and the beauty found between strength and delicacy. We love how her pieces blur the line between art, architecture, and design.

Drew Bacon creates playful, meticulously crafted mixed-media works that transform everyday forms and patterns into striking visual compositions. Drawing inspiration from architecture, design, and the built environment, his work balances precision and fun, inviting viewers to discover rhythm, movement, and unexpected moments of delight within each piece. Beautiful Clementine Maconachie sculpture on the left we will post more about next! We had a little fun with the installation and installed it vertically all the way up to the ceiling. Our client says it's one of her most complimented works in her home.

🌟 Last Chance to See Our Current Exhibitions! 📅 Feb. 7 & 14, 2026 🕐 Gallery Hours: Sat.,1–5PM Special Artist talk Sunday Feb. 8 sarting 1pm 📍 BOX 13 ArtSpace | 6700 Harrisburg Blvd, Houston, TX 77011 This is your last chance to experience the powerful and diverse work featured in our latest exhibitions! ‘Anything but Nothing’ | AnTIC @antic_mc, @drewbaconstudio; @aaron_m_holmes 📍 Front BOX In the year nineteen hundred and eighty six, the collective Reader's Digestion experienced an epiphany of knowledge condensation, quickly objectifying and excreting the transmission, the tome diffusely circulated paper libraries, distributing wisdom on just about anything (exercises… deeds… bow ties... artichokes). AnTIC, the Anachronistic Transmission Interpreters Commission, has sought through the mediums of collage, reprint and light humanely touched animation to immortalize this early electric pre-internet tome. ‘21st Century Follies’ | @alexander.squier 📍 Back BOX Alexander Squier presents ‘21st Century Follies,’ a playful but not too far-fetched investigation of the ubiquitous features of our built landscape. The exhibit features a life-size architectural folly, as well as two-dimensional works sampling and reconfiguring elements from recent and present day structures. ‘Seven’ | @stayclosetay 📍 Window BOX ‘Seven’ is an exhibition that gives viewers a deeper look inside the Government Cheese offices, or the art, sound and publishing arm of Tay Butler's practice. Government Cheese, in solidarity with the Black Arts Movement of the mid-60s, is a response to the brand new same old. ‘Play Pretend’ | @saralamstudio 📍 Upstairs BOX ‘Play Pretend’ is a show exploring ideas of camouflage through surrealism, mimicry, and kitschy Americana. Through tactile, uncanny material pairings, the exhibition highlights shifting identities and transitions between organic and camouflaged states, with themes of gender, performance, submission, and autonomy. Don’t miss this chance to engage with these exhibitions before they close. Special thanks to our supporters: This event is funded in part by the City of Houston @cityofhouston through @houstonartsalliance • @houstonMOCA.

This November was my five year anniversary at the museum. The cliche of the five year plan has been circling my mind a lot as of late. The night before my five year anniversary, I learned that my time at the MFAH was now on a timer. All of the sudden now it is my last week in person at the museum. Not every project over the years makes the Instagram page, so here are some things you missed and some things and people I’ll miss.
