There are some things I have learned over the past 10 years after improving my nutrition and weekly training routine. Much of it has to do with performance, longevity and efficiency with time. It’s taught me a lot about life, outside of the gym and given me perspective. Here’s some of that perspective:
They say the prime age for a male is around 28. After that you’re suppose to accept and be happy with moderate performance. You’re not supposed to continue hitting personal records at “old age”.
You know what I say-that’s a load of bullshit taught to us from society to get up to medicate up, spend more time in front of the TV, spend more money and be more conforming, passive males that don’t get in the way of the “big plan”. The plan where we’re not allowed to be strong men, leading the younger generation by example.
The truth is-as you get older-you learn more and more. If you apply what you learn, not only will you continue to grow stronger-you’ll learn to live and train smarter.
This means doing more with less. Understanding where your weaknesses lie and putting in the work to fix them. Becoming a master at recovering from training and managing your energy levels. Learning how to supplement your nutrition. Recognizing that mobility work is just as important as your lifts. And of course-making sure you stay well rounded enough to be gangrenous, no matter the situation.
You can absolutely get stronger well into life. You can continue to compete on a high level if you choose. And you’re never too old to learn new methods, techniques and sports.
If anything being older is an advantage-because you know how much your time is worth and exactly how to spend it to get what you want. LOOK around. Everyone else is just doing what they see others doing poorly. Wearing what they’re told is popular. Listening to what they’re told is good music.
But not YOU, you know who you are and this life is yours. Go out and take it!
And should you need some advice to help with your efforts, feel free to hit me with a comment or DM me directly 👍🏻
Performance and longevity- that’s what life is all about!

It doesn’t matter who you are, what you do, or how much wealth you have, nutritionally speaking if you are eating steak you are at the very highest echelon on dining-for thousands of years peasants ate grains while royalty dined on meat-Having meat meant strength and security throughout civilized times-Prior to the hierarchy of civilized life, meat was available to who ever was willing to take it-and yes, that meant hunting and killing animals-for a few million years that was the only job humans had and we were devastatingly efficient at it-Today domesticated animals have replaced most of the hunting and only recently could the average person afford to regularly eat meat-make no mistake, this is an unusual time in post agricultural humanity and it gives us the opportunity to to reach our physical and genetic potential as we were doing 100,000 years ago when we had bigger brains, larger & stronger bones and no chronic disease-You can choose to continue to to eat like a peasant farmer or you can take advantage of what is available to you and allow yourself and your family to thrive and be among the strong!

Thursday is the new Friday!

Since we don’t work on Fridays, we love spending some quality team time unwinding in the waiting room. We love our office family and our little speakeasy 💗
