Firstly this is a huge thank you for all my lovely friends, supporters and members that helped me to fly to Canada to compete in the Commonwealth Powerlifting. Without your help it would not have been possible. I feel proud to represent England and you can see from the list how many times I have won the Worlds, Europeans Commonwealths & Nationals. Need more space for my medals. Thank you to @ryanstills for devising this chart for us all to see. Big thank you to all again 🙏🙏🙏🙏

A while ago, I created a poster featuring past IPF Hall of Fame inductees with their photos.

It seems the data made its way to Dave Ricks @dricks205 through Hooper, and to my great surprise, Dave sent me a signed photo of himself competing along with a personal letter.

I never imagined that such a great athlete would do something like this for me, so I was genuinely moved. It is truly a great honor.

Dave Ricks is now 67 years old. He has won the IPF World Championships multiple times, was inducted into the IPF Hall of Fame in 2013, and at the age of 58, squatted 325 kg in the 93 kg class, setting what was then the Open Classic world record. Truly superhuman.

These days, the word “legend” is often used quite casually for veteran athletes, but Dave Ricks is one of those rare people for whom the word truly fits. A legend among legends.

I will treasure both the photo and the letter as family heirlooms.
Thank you so much.

My son asked me, “How great of a powerlifter is Dave Ricks?”
I told him, “If this were soccer, he’d be like Messi or Ronaldo.”

Thanks to my husband @joshnolting for his encouragement, patience and support during my trainings and all the recovery devices I need (sauna and @hyperice ).
@gabby.nolting_ for sharing my enthusiasm at training and encouragement.

Huge shout out to @hartmanperformance @xakberry and all my friends and fellow athletes at HPT and @fullcirclefitco
