Tucson, you will always have such a special piece of my heart. 🤎

I came here thinking I was building a career and a life, never realizing how much this place would change me. You gave me some of the most beautiful friendships, the most incredible practice members, endless Arizona skies, so much love, and a space to grow into the woman I am today.

You also gave me a mirror. Sometimes a beautiful one, sometimes a very hard one. I learned to speak up for myself, trust myself, take care of myself, and become more honest about who I am and what I want.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I met the love of my life. I’ll forever be grateful that this place brought Evan and I together. 🤎

Dr. Brett Jones and Dr. Kate Jones, thank you for taking me in as your own. Thank you for believing in me, challenging me, trusting me, and helping me become the chiropractor and woman I am today. I will carry that with me forever. And to everyone else who loved me, supported me, taught me, trusted me, and became part of this chapter, thank you.

Tucson gave me more than I ever knew I needed. I’m leaving with a very full heart, a lot of gratitude, and so much love for the life this chapter helped create.

Thank you for everything, Tucson. We miss you so much already!!!! 🌵☀️🤎

Your tongue is talking. I’m just fluent. 😂
In TCM, tongue diagnosis is one way we look beyond the obvious and get clues about what’s happening internally.
🔴 Color: What’s going on with Qi and Blood?
👅 Shape: Are there signs of fluid imbalance or constitutional patterns?
🫧 Coating: What might digestion, Dampness, or Heat be telling us?
💧 Moisture: How are your body fluids looking?
📍 Different areas: TCM traditionally relates different tongue regions to different organ systems.
And before you ask… NO, I don’t need you to stick your tongue out and tell me what you ate yesterday. 😂
But I do want to see the tongue before you start scraping, brushing, drinking coffee, or trying to clean up the evidence. 👀

The 5th met head and cuboid are the homies of the outside of your foot.

That lateral ball of the foot is one point of your foot tripod, and it plays a big role in how you load and move through the lateral arch.

And then you’ve got the lateral and spiral fascial chains tying that whole conversation into the rest of the leg and body. The peroneal muscles of this insert into the 5th metatarsal and act as a lever for the cuboid.

So when I’m working on this area, I’m not just thinking, “move this bone.”

I’m thinking about how the pieces are talking to each other.

The feet are the foundation… treat them with respect
