I want to take a moment to recognize a very special person, who’s also a family caregiver.

@heystacy_ is caring for 2 seniors in her home with her husband while they both work full time. And with all that going on, she accepted my invitation to appear on the #MarissaMitchell show with me to talk about the emotional and financial toll of caregiving.

She did phenomenal on the show and is doing exceptional in life and along her care journey. @ladykay129 lifted her face while she enlightened all of our hearts. Thank you Stacy for answering the call 😘.

While at @fox5dc, I met and chopped it up with @thealreynolds who also has an amazing care story with a great love for HBCUs. Stay tuned for that…😉. Thank you, Al, for the chat 💬 and for what’s to come.

We rounded off the day breaking bread 🥖 with my friend and talented filmmaker 🎞️ @rcadellcook who has a new comedy movie 🍿 coming out in a couple of months. Can’t wait 🤗.

Now, all this running around could not have been possible without the gracious support and skillset of one @ladykay129. She literally is my everything on the road. Love you Kris! 🥰

What a productive day in DC thanks to @janaebowens PR management 🙌🏾!

NDTSoulz is in the room. 💚💚💚

What an incredible experience attending the 7th Annual Dementia Care Warriors “Revive & Refresh” Brunch & Symposium for Dementia Caregivers.

This was more than a conference—it was an opportunity to learn, connect, grow, and be reminded of the importance of supporting the people who dedicate themselves to caring for others.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Dr. Macie Smith, a respected voice in dementia education and caregiver support. Her work is a powerful reminder that caring for someone living with dementia requires more than compassion—it requires knowledge, preparation, advocacy, patience, and support for the caregiver as well.

As the Founder of NDTSoulz, I believe we have to continue educating ourselves so we can better advocate for the individuals and families we serve.

We don’t just show up.
We learn.
We connect.
We advocate.
And we continue to raise the standard of care.

Within every challenge lies an opportunity. Every setback, heartbreak, or loss has the potential to be just the first page of a beautiful story. Through the Voyage interviews, we've seen over and over again that even the worst of circumstances can be turned around.

Be kind to people, you never know what someone is going through. Build people up - it's amazing the impact a kind gesture at just the right moment can have on someone's story. You have the power to impact the world every single day - your choices, words and actions matter and they have ripple effects that extend far beyond our view. The stories we share on Voyage each week feature folks who have overcome incredible odds and we couldn't be more inspired. We've highlighted a few folks here, you can check their stories as well as others on the site.

Yesterday was phenomenal! @drmaciep and @2trillion hosted ‘Dementia Speaks Live’. They both bring their unique style of getting information to the people. The energy, information and content was great! I was so busy listening, learning, laughing & crying that I didn’t take any pictures during the talking portion. (Follow @2trillion @drmaciep to see pics/videos) @radiant_rozthompson It was nice meeting you and can’t wait to hang out with you again. Thank you to the caregivers who came out.
