One thing I don't think I'll ever stop doing is learning. This weekend I spent some time furthering my education. One of my favorite things about being in the health and fitness industry is that there's always more to learn. And while I spend a lot of time reading about leadership, personal growth, and business ownership, I think it's equally important to continue growing my knowledge in the field that brought me here in the first place. I certainly don't have all the answers, nor do I ever expect to. But I do think there's a lot of value in continuing to ask questions, surrounding yourself with people who know more than you do, and being willing to learn something new.

🧰 Your October Toolkit is here! October is National Physical Therapy Month, and we’re celebrating by talking about something we believe in every day at Misama: taking care of your body shouldn’t only start when something hurts. 💛 Physical therapy is so much more than recovering from an injury. It can help you better understand your body, build strength and mobility, recognize changes, recover well, and keep doing the things that matter to you. So this month, we’re keeping it simple with 5 tools to add to your toolbox: 🚶 MOVE — Find ways to move your body consistently. Walking, Pilates, lifting, stretching, playing with your kids—it all counts. 💪 STRENGTHEN — Build strength for your actual life. Carry the kids. Lift the groceries. Run the race. Get off the floor. Keep doing the things you love. ✨ RECOVER — Your body needs recovery too. Rest, sleep, mobility, nutrition, and giving your body time to adapt are all part of making progress. 🔎 NOTICE — Pay attention to what your body is telling you. Pain, leaking, pressure, heaviness, stiffness, weakness, or changes in what you can tolerate are worth noticing—not just pushing through. 🙋‍♀️ ASK FOR HELP — You don’t have to wait until something becomes unbearable to seek support. A PT can help you understand what’s going on and build a plan that makes sense for your body. This Physical Therapy Month, our challenge for you is simple: What’s one thing you want your body to keep allowing you to do—and which tool can you use today to support it? 🧰✨ Save this toolkit for the days you need the reminder. And if “Ask for Help” is the tool you’ve been putting off, come see us at Misama. 💛 #PhysicalTherapyMonth #NationalPhysicalTherapyMonth #PhysicalTherapy #PelvicFloorPT #PelvicHealth

POV: A physical therapist sees your desk setup 👀💻 If you finish your workday with an achy back, tight hips, tense shoulders, or a stiff neck… your desk setup might be worth a second look. But here’s the thing: there isn’t ONE “perfect” posture you need to hold all day. 🙌 Instead, a few small adjustments can help your body feel more supported while you work: ✨ Give your feet a solid surface to rest on — a foot stool can help if they don’t comfortably reach the floor. ✨ Adjust your screen so you aren’t constantly leaning or reaching your head forward to see it. ✨ Keep your keyboard close enough that you can type without reaching your arms forward. ✨ Play with your seat height so your feet, hips, arms + desk feel comfortably supported. ✨ Don’t underestimate simple support! A rolled towel or small cushion behind your back or underneath you may help you find a more comfortable position. And our favorite reminder? Your best posture is your NEXT posture. 💛 Even with a great desk setup, our bodies weren’t meant to stay in one position for hours at a time. Shift positions. Stand up. Take a quick walk. Stretch. Move however feels good. Your workstation should work with your body, not against it. Save this reel and use it as a checklist the next time you sit down at your desk! 💻✨ #PhysicalTherapy #Neckpain #PostureTips #mobility #DeskPosture

London, you were brilliant. 🇬🇧 Two days of questioning assumptions, exploring different bodies, experimenting with movement and load, and navigating the grey areas of diastasis. One participant summed up their biggest realisation: “I overcue and underload my clients.” Knowing the principles is one thing. Knowing how to apply them to the person in front of you is where the nuance lies. 🇺🇸 Columbus, Ohio - you’re next. 📍 October 24–25, 2026 💥 SAVE $50 — Earlybird ends September 18 Ready to Do Something Different? 👉 Link in bio to learn more & enrol.
