I had a great time at the Adidas jr. all star in Oregon! Put myself in a great spot on the last day but I didn’t have my best stuff. I learned a lot and am excited for the next one!

“To gain something…you must lose something first. Even Heaven demands death”

Finished T1 (75-73) in the @stpgajuniorgolf Rocket City Open these past two days. Although I ended up getting a really bad break in the playoff and finishing so close to earning a lot of exemptions including the Texas Junior Am, It was super awesome being back in contention after feeling like the game had been lost for a while.

The first day played with 45 mph winds and in 35 degrees when teeing off, which led me to hit my first tee ball OB and make a Triple on the first hole of the tournament. I was super happy I was able to recover nicely and finish round 1 at +3 and 3 shots back headed into the second day.

During Round 2, I ended up calling a one-shot penalty on myself.

Although it sucked admitting something that no one else saw, this really cleared my conscious and allowed me to go on a stretch of 4 under in my next 7 holes to get me back in the tournament. I ended up having a one shot lead on 18 and decided to play for par on a water filled par 5, and force my opponent to make birdie… which he did, and left me with a 3 1/2 footer downhill left to right putt to extend the tournament: Which I made (slide 4).

I ended up getting a bad break on the first playoff hole, which meant missing out on a bunch of exemptions and my first two-day win in almost a year.

Although, I felt maybe as if I shouldn’t have called that penalty on myself, I know it was the right thing to do and allowed me to play free the rest of the round.

I know that God has something bigger planned soon.

Next Up: Houston Junior Classic (March 28-29)

So grateful for an incredible year on and off the course—wins, lessons, and everything in between. I couldn’t have done any of it without God guiding me through it all, my family’s constant support, my friends pushing me to be better, and my coaches believing in me even on the tough days.

Thank you to @axisgolfacademy @alanhoddegolf @drmitchie @thepavegroup for all y’all do for me. I can’t wait to keep working and growing together.

Trusting God’s plan as I head into next year, ready for whatever comes and grateful for every opportunity to keep growing.
