🔎 Answer Reveal!

If you chose B. TNF-α inhibitors, you’re correct! 👏

The smooth, nonscaly pink papules forming annular plaques are characteristic of granuloma annulare (GA). Their appearance after a medication change raises suspicion for a drug-induced eruption.

TNF-α inhibitors—including adalimumab, etanercept, and infliximab—are recognized triggers of drug-induced GA. 💊

Answer reveal 🔬

The correct answer is amyloid deposition within vessel walls.
In systemic amyloidosis, amyloid deposition weakens vessel walls and leads to vascular fragility, producing characteristic periorbital purpura after minimal trauma. This finding is often referred to as pinch purpura.
