Yesterday we held our first workshop after the summer break! 🛠️💙💛

It was a smaller group this time. Some people are still slowly coming back after the August pause, while others may have gotten a little carried away at Oktoberfest. 🎡🍻

This month, we planned a workshop specifically for veterans, and while it turned out to be a bit of a 50/50 mix, we were very happy to have a few veterans with their families join us, and together with the rest of our amazing participants, we assembled 9 drones!

And, of course, no Ukrainian gathering would be complete without some delicious varenyky 🥟
Our guests enjoyed a tasty treat, and we finished the day with a sweet cake. Everyone left happy — and that’s what matters most!

We were also happy to greet some new faces to our workshop. Welcome to our community! We’re so glad to have you with us. 🫶

See you at the next workshop 🚀

Our first DroneAid Vienna workshop is officially done!

On September 12, we held our very first FPV drone-building workshop in Vienna, and it was a success! 🇦🇹

Together, we built 5 FPV drones from scratch. 🔧🚁
And yes, there was soldering! It quickly became one of the favourite parts for most participants. 😄

We were also happy to welcome @droneaid.munich and @droneaid.praha , who joined us and helped make this first workshop even more special. 🇨🇿🇩🇪

We took a little break for lunch and enjoyed some amazing sweets from a Ukrainian business. 🇺🇦❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, built, learned and supported us!

The test workshop passed. ✅
Now we’re getting ready for Workshop #2. 🚀

5 drones built. One step closer to helping Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Our First FPV Drone Workshop in Brussels.

We’re excited to launch our very first FPV Drone Workshop in Brussels.

This is more than just a workshop it’s the beginning of a new Belgian community united by one mission: supporting Ukraine through technology.

Together with our mentors, you’ll assemble an FPV drone from scratch while learning soldering, electronics, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and the fundamentals behind every component.

No previous experience is required. Whether you’re curious about drones, want to develop practical technical skills, or simply want to contribute to a meaningful cause, you’re welcome to join.

98% of all donations go directly to FPV drone components used in Ukraine.

Workshop spots:

🔹 €150 — 1 participant
🔹 €300 — you + your +1 with priority access

Link in bio to donate and join the workshop

⚠️ After donating, send us your name + WhatsApp number so we can contact you.

Can’t join the workshop?

You can still support the project with any donation every contribution helps us build more FPV drones for Ukraine.

This is just the beginning for Brussels, and we can’t wait to build this community together.

❤️Ukrainian Veterans are truly remarkable people.
People we deeply respect, people we thank for protecting us, and people we value more than we can put into words 🫂

They have been through hell. They have looked death in the eyes and kept going.

⚙️Our next DroneAid Collective workshop in Munich, taking place in mid-September, will be dedicated to Ukrainian veterans.

They will have the chance to build their first FPV drone, spend time with others who understand them, and simply be together.

✨It’s a kind of therapy that gives veterans a chance to step away from the hardships of everyday life, meet new people, reconnect with society, and learn practical new skills - from soldering to building drones - that may even be useful to them in the future.

The components for one drone cost €350.

We get them from Pilotix at special volunteer prices for our workshops 🛠️

Our goal is to invite 12 veterans.

If you’d like to sponsor a drone for a veteran, message us and we’ll send you the donation details.

Thank you❤️

🇺🇦Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the heroes - those living and those who gave their lives💔

We’ve got bad news.

The kind of news that were bound to happen sooner or later.

19 DroneAid Collective drones, including 10 from Porto and 9 from Lisbon, were destroyed on their way to Ukrainian Defenders during one of the recent russian aerial attacks on Ukraine.

We cannot provide any more details, as we do not want to accidentally provide the enemy with information about the logistics - the enemy is keeping track.

We are beyond upset about this.
We are angry.
We are also fully determined to replace them and make sure the units that are waiting for our drones - will get them!

Workshop #10 — Done.

Another Saturday. Another room full of people building, testing, learning, and sharing ideas.

This week we had ##finance professionals, military veterans, volunteers, translators, software engineers, hardware engineers, runners, students, entrepreneurs—and, above all, simply great people.

Our community keeps growing because we’re united by the same curiosity: innovation, technology, and the drive to build something meaningful together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. You’re always welcome.

📍 Every Saturday, 10:00 AM
📍 GNIZDO eHub, London

P.S. If you’re a UK-based manufacturer producing hardware or components for the drone industry that are commercially available, we’d love to hear from you. Our goal is to build a drone using as many British-made components as possible—including yours—then put it through real flight testing together. Get in touch!
Because now we are building with European components by @pilotix + a bit Chinese)

It was simply amazing:
👥 New faces & great new connections. Our Droneaid community keeps growing!
🧑🏻‍🔧 As always, our mentors were absolutely top-professional.
🛠 We assembled 10 drones!

We were especially happy to welcome several veterans yesterday. And a huge thank you goes to one guest who traveled all the way from Switzerland just to join us in Munich! 🇨🇭🚙🇩🇪

And after all the hard work, we enjoyed our beloved tradition: delicious borscht and varenyky! 🍲🥟

The day was filled with positive emotions, happy faces, and a true sense of accomplishment. Thank you to everyone who joined us! 💙💛
