🔴🎤 TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026 Speaker Highlight 🔴🎤 We’re delighted to introduce our next TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026 speaker, Dr Rajan Bedi. Dr Bedi has spent more than 25 years working in the global space industry, designing and developing technology used onboard satellites and spacecraft. In 2014, he founded Spacechips to bring his own innovations into orbit, with the company going on to win Start-Up Company of the Year and High-Reliability Product awards in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2025. His entrepreneurial achievements have also earned national recognition. In 2024, Rajan was named Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, and in 2020, Disruptive Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. Rajan’s fascination with space began at just five years old while stargazing beneath the crystal-clear skies of Northern Ireland. Captivated by the beauty of the constellations, he devoured every space book he could find at his local library and quickly realised that he wanted to dedicate his life to designing and building spacecraft. Today, alongside pushing the boundaries of space technology, Rajan is passionate about exploring how innovations developed for space can be used to improve life on Earth and help create a safer, happier future for everyone. 🚀 Join us this September to hear Rajan share his remarkable journey from childhood dreamer to award-winning space entrepreneur, and discover how technology developed beyond our planet could transform life here at home.
