Call me old fashioned but I just love people getting together and learning to be rad. I’m fascinated by what humans are capable of and I think there’s a whole lot of good that comes from people learning and experiencing together. My pal at @drtpdlrs is hosting a clinic that you would be perfect for, check it out and share it around.

The Loppet is collaborating with @drtpdlrs to provide jump clinics this spring!

🚵‍♀️ Intermediate Jump Session: May 9, 1:00-4:00p

Focusing on understanding the fundamentals and executing the mechanics of hitting jumps. The Intermediate session will drill down on the considerations and understanding of how to visually analyze jump shapes and sizes and how to apply techniques for best outcomes. This session will provide opportunities to refine skills with small to medium sized tabletop jumps 4′ to 8′ in length. Riders must have mountain biking fundamental skills (Front, Rear and Level lifts and experience with small drops/jumps) consolidated in order to maximize their experience with this session.

🚵 Intermediate to Advanced Jump Session: May 30, 10:00-1:00p or 2:00-5:00p

We will build upon the fundamentals presented in the Intermediate session. We will explore approaching and hitting jumps using different techniques in stability/balance, pressure control and speed to gain confidence in riding medium to large jumps that have mandatory gaps, as well as, the opportunity to hit a large 6′ kicker with an airbag landing. Consolidation of mountain biking fundamentals and basic jump technique/experience is required for this session.

Drtpdlrs - I have had the privilege of helping an awesome group of kids with the Drtpdlrs program this summer! It has been so cool seeing middle and high school kids having access to enduro coaching and progressive skill building rather than the "just send it" attitude of old. And it's working! These kids rip! My jumping is getting better, but then I see these teenagers boosting to the moon! No personal racing at the bike Duluth festival for me, but had lots of fun riding, cheering, and helping others smash their goals! Thanks for having me Drtpdlrs! Next stop, off to Breck Epic!
