I’m excited to introduce my new project, Drum Corps Equity! For those who know me or follow my work, you know how passionate I am about advocacy within this activity. Over time, though, I became drained and disheartened by the many stories of struggle and inequity in the Drum Corps community. It left me feeling burnt out and overwhelmed to have so much self-induced pressure to make these stories into palpable change. That’s when I had the idea to create a coalition of like-minded individuals, a support system where we can all lean on each other while advocating for equity. This project has been incredibly fulfilling, and I am thrilled to have launched it. I wanted to also thank my fellow advocates at @drumcorps.equity who have jumped on the idea and have really made the project their own. I hope you all find value in Drum Corps Equity and join me on this journey.
