For the continued cultural education of generations to come, save Beaconsfield Gallery London!

Beaconsfield urgently needs your support to remain in its iconic central London building. Without immediate help, we will have to close our doors within weeks. So, this is a direct appeal to artists, audiences, neighbours and friends whose lives have been touched by our charity and its community – as participant or visitor – and to those who think that independent culture in the UK is important.

When it’s gone it’s gone.

$TONIGHT: ELLIOTT SHARP TWO-DAY RESIDENCY W/ THE CLINAMEN + DUBMORPHOLOGY + POULOMI DESAI Two rare UK performances from Elliott Sharp, whose work has sat at the centre of New York’s experimental music scene for more than forty years, spanning noise, no wave, jazz, blues, electronics, opera, orchestral writing and systems-based composition. Across two nights at OTO, Sharp appears with The Clinamen, solo with a reading from his writing, and in a new quartet with Dubmorphology and Poulomi Desai. TUE 29 SEP ELLIOTT SHARP WITH DUBMORPHOLOGY + POULOMI DESAI The second night is a new quartet built around feedback systems, science fiction, algorithmic composition and DIY instruments. Trevor Mathison and Gary Stewart’s Dubmorphology emerged from their work with the Black Audio Film Collective, developing a Black Industrial practice across fractured montage, dub, musique concrète, field recording and live cinema. Poulomi Desai joins on augmented sitar, cassette decks, circuit-bent toys, optokinetic instruments, kitchen knives and massage tools, deliberately breaking with ideas of authenticity around the sitar. 🎟 £17 adv / £12 members → Tickets via Stories and cafeoto.co.uk → Doors 7:30pm$
