NEW SINGLE! NEW VIDEO! NEW ALBUM! NEW GIGS! NEW LAURA!

It's been a long time coming, eight years in fact, but I am finally announcing my new solo record 'Prepared'. It will be out on May the 17th on chic rose pink vinyl and standard classic colourway CD. Pre-Order Prepared: link in bio.

To celebrate my re-emergence, my new single and title track 'Prepared' is out T.O.D.A.Y. - We filmed a video for this in @wwtmartinmere starring friend and local Wigan hero, amateur wrestler Paul "Rampaging Rydo" Ryding. It reflects and celebrates the power of patience and quiet preparation which twitchers display. Maximum thanks to @jesssswainson for directing and @dulead on camera - the DREAM TEAM!!! There's a link to the video in the bio.

GIGS! I have a bunch of gigs coming up including a @bbc6music session for Riley and Coe (tomorrow! 5th of March), a tour with @chinacrisismusic and some headline gigs too. @jumborecords have kindly welcomed me to play in their amazing shop on the 18th of May and I'll also be playing some festivals and a headline gig in London. All gigs with ticket links are listed on my website: laurajmartin.net

The Bandits album “and they walked away” is 20 years old. Under rated and under appreciated. Bout time for a reunion Scotty. #thebandits #andtheywalkedaway #thewarning #liverpool #bandwagon

The return of the Euros got me reminiscing about the experience 5 years ago…

Fan parks, will grigg chants, baguettes (lots), Paris cycles, Iceland’s supporters taking over, shock wins in Budapest, seeing the thousands in Berlin, the palace/production HQ…and then being amongst the Portuguese for the final.

Football, bloody hell.

Delighted that Three Chords and the Truth will screen in official selection at the Nashville Film Festival Oct 1-7 2020. A nice stamp of authenticity.. laurels from one of the cultural centres of American music! https://nashvillefilmfestival.org/
