🧶✨ A Beautiful Day of Crochet & Creativity ✨🧶

Maison du Café et Fil had the pleasure of spending a wonderful time with the young participants at **Dar-us-Sakina** for a fun crochet activity. 💕

It was so heartwarming to see everyone learning, creating, and enjoying the experience together. We kept the project simple and fun, with lots of smiles, creativity, and encouragement along the way. 🌸

A special thank you to **Dar-us-Sakina** for welcoming us and for creating such a beautiful and supportive space for our community. 🤍

Insha’Allah, this is just the beginning. I look forward to bringing more crochet activities and creative workshops to different places in our community. 🧶☕️

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

This Friday, Masjid Ibrahim is honored to collaborate with Dar-us-Sakina for a special Disability Awareness Khutbah & Family Night.

Dar-us-Sakina serves individuals with disabilities and their caregivers in the Houston Muslim community through Islamic education, family support, resources, and disability awareness, working to build communities where people of all abilities are welcomed and included.

This is an important conversation for all of us. Our masjid should be a place where every Muslim and every family feels that they belong. We encourage the entire community to attend, learn, and better understand how we can remove barriers, overcome stigmas, and become more welcoming and supportive of individuals with disabilities and their families.

Jummah Khutbah | 1:30 PM
Speaker: Mawlana Ahmed Khan

Family Night | 8:00–9:30 PM
Featuring: Abraham Moosa

We will also have a Community Potluck after Isha and Bounce House for Kids.

We are profoundly grateful.

April marks Autism Awareness Month, a period that holds significant personal meaning for our family. Our eldest son, Zayn, remained nonverbal until the age of four. During that time, we navigated moments of uncertainty, yet we were sustained by faith, patience, and hope.

Today, at the age of 10, Zayn is a confident, compassionate, and flourishing individual. He excels as a son, a sibling, and a student, enjoys a wide circle of friends, and actively participates as an athlete on his basketball team.

Witnessing him recite a poem during his school announcements for Autism Month is a memory we will forever cherish.

This remarkable progress is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the exceptional support network surrounding him, particularly his mother, @aishamian85, his dedicated teachers, therapists, and the wider community. We extend a special acknowledgment to Dur-Us-Sakina @dushouston and Action Behavior Center @actionbehaviorcenters.

Every child develops at their own unique pace, guided by their individual purpose. Zayn consistently reminds us that growth unfolds in its own time, and each step in that journey is inherently meaningful.

Laylatul Qadr Prep- Day 24 The Courageous Tongue: 30 Days to Taming the Troublesome Tongue
One sin. Three hearts.
The Qur’an tells of a town tested by a command. Some people gamed the rule. Some people stayed silent. And some people spoke up.
The Qur’an preserved their answer:
مَعْذِرَةً إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ
“So that we may be free from blame before our Lord, and perhaps they may become mindful.” 7:164
The Prophet ﷺ later explained the danger of silence. If people on a ship allow a hole to be drilled below deck, the entire ship sinks. Wrong tolerated in one corner eventually harms everyone.
That is why Allah says:
كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ
“You are the best community raised for humanity.” 3:110
The title “best Ummah” is not a privilege. It is a responsibility. The real question the story asks us: which heart do I have? #allah #islam #courage #quran #ramadan

Ramadan 2026
#BYORB - Bring Your Own Reusable Bottle

Aisha Jalali, AMWC Marketing Coordinator & Advisor, urges our community to take action.

🚨Our Ramadan plastic water bottle usage and water wastage are excessive.

Our masajid supply large amounts of plastic bottled water because OUR demand is high.

But together we can change that!

This Ramadan, let’s commit to bringing our own
reusable water bottles to the masjid and community spaces.

🌏Let’s honor the teachings of our Beloved Prophet Muhammed (saaw), and be responsible stewards of Allah’s green and beautiful earth!

Let’s do this, H-Town!
