Fall colors. Wasn’t intentional but The Tyde’s 2001 debut Once sleeve goes well with my new book’s cover. Interview inside was conducted with @d_rad.forever around the time the album was released. The Quarter After are proud to announce for the very first time, a deluxe vinyl release of our 2nd album, Changes Near coming out this October on the Dust and Memory label. Here are quotes from reviews when it was first released in 2008- “The Quarter After bring you more of their timeless blend of psychedelic folk, baroque pop and lush West Coast harmonies- placing them firmly within the lineage of the Los Angeles psychedelic tradition. Richly arranged and beautifully understated, the album unfolds through warm acoustic textures, intricate vocal harmonies and shimmering instrumentation, creating a cinematic listening experience.” Changes Near has never been available on vinyl before. Dust and Memory proudly presents Chamges Near as a deluxe edition, pressed on limited edition sky blue coloured vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve with a printed inner sleeve, giving this overlooked modern classic the premium physical edition it has always deserved. Pre-order link can be found on the Quarter After’s Bandcamp page or in the link @dustnmemory ‘s bio.

Received my copies of the latest pressing of We’re Already There yesterday. @dustnmemory did an incredible job on this one, it looks and sounds STUNNING. Playing it back was like listening to it for the first time and brought back a flood of memories of making it with @brian_mctear @nokomisite @mickeywalker and the amazing cast of friends that lent their contributions. I remember @waltermartinmusic coming down on the train from NY sometime in 2004 to play Farfisa on a few tracks and us drinking an entire case of Yeungling Lager in the process. We worked so hard on this and the fact that it still holds up two decades later is so deeply satisfying. I’m making new music with Walt and an incredible gang of friends TODAY. I can’t wait for you all to hear it. More on that soon. What a privilege it is to make music with your friends. Pick up a copy of this record if you can, they won’t last long. Link in bio.
