Chicago Marathon week photo dump. 📸🏙️💙
.
It was such a great week getting to work the @chimarathon Abbott Health and Fitness Expo again and getting to connect with so many amazing friends and runners. A huge thank you to everyone who came by our @rawthreadsathletics booth to say hi and to support us during the expo and our Raw Threads x Smiley launch. 🫶🏻 And a special thank you to @jen.runs.on.pixie.dust who came by and dropped off my favorite @eatnpark cookies to our booth!😃
I was also SO happy to get some cooler miles logged and to get to see some local Chicago friends in between the expo craziness.🍹
.
Congrats to all of the runners and see you next time Chicago!!

21 years! Our marriage is old enough to drink. 😂

Someone once asked me: Do we actually still like each other? Is it possible?

The answer is yes. We look forward to seeing each other at the end of a workday. We talk on the phone on the way to work each morning. We enjoy each other’s company.

Of course, Marriage isn’t always easy. We are definitely two imperfect people. We have both made mistakes. However, we have always fought for each other and our marriage.

Through every high and low, every celebration and every loss, we have held each other, supported each other, and come out stronger.

I love this man more today than I did 21 years ago when I said “I do.” I cannot imagine a more perfect match for me.

To my husband: thank you for your constant support, your confidence in me, your forgiveness, and your love.

Happy Anniversary. 🥂

I still can't believe I get to say this..

I can't believe I get to be a sponsored athlete at the 2026 New York City Marathon with @shokzusa 🎧

I'll be representing #shokz throughout #marathon weekend, #running in an official race kit, taking part in events and sharing this incredible experience with all of you. It honestly still doesn't feel real.

The #chasingstars application wasn't just about getting into the race. It was about telling your story and sharing why this World Marathon Major mattered to you.

I wrote about addiction, unhealthy coping mechanisms, and making the decision to completely change the direction of my life. I wrote about finding running and how it became so much more than exercise. It became purpose, confidence, and a community that believed in me long before I believed in myself.

So many people I've met through running saw something in me that I couldn't see yet. They encouraged me, challenged me, celebrated my wins, picked me up after my losses, and because they believed in me, eventually I started believing too.

That's why I chose New York City.

So many of the people who have shaped my life will be there. I wanted the chance to stand on that start line with them and experience one of the greatest marathons in the world alongside people I love, respect, and admire.

Somehow, my story resonated with Shokz.

To know they read it, connected with it, and chose to invest in me because they believe it's a story worth telling is something I'm still trying to wrap my head around.

I never expect to get picked for opportunities like this. I always feel like I'm just another name in a sea of applications. But I've learned you don't have to be certain you'll succeed to take a chance on yourself. Sometimes you just have to put your name in the hat.

My hope is that by sharing my story this summer, someone who feels stuck, lost, or convinced they aren't capable will realize there is another path. Running changed my life because it introduced me to people who helped me see my own potential before I ever could.

Thank you, Shokz, for believing in me and trusting me with this opportunity. I don't take it for granted.

Now... we get to work 🏃‍♀️🗽
