🏆 DYFED LEAGUE DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

✅ What a way to finish a monumental season for the Carmarthen Golf Club & Driving Range Tigers team! 🐯

⛳ A big away win against Tenby on Saturday set up a huge head-to-head against Haverfordwest for the league title.

✅ Carmarthen went into the match with a one-point lead, meaning we needed a win at home to secure the championship.

🏌️ The match started with Haverfordwest taking an early lead, winning the first two matches, although the opening match went right down to the wire.

With most of the remaining matches hanging in the balance, the team stood up to the challenge when it mattered most. 💪

Six consecutive wins followed, securing a fantastic 6–2 victory and, with it, the Dyfed League Division 1 title! 🏆

✅ This victory completes the double for the Tigers, following our success in the Jeff Harries Bowl earlier in the season. What an incredible achievement and what a season it has been! 🐯🏆🏆

✅ From the team captain, Daniel Sears, a huge well done and thank you to everyone who has represented the team throughout the season. Your commitment, effort and support for the club have been second to none, and today was the reward you all deserved.👏👏

A massive thank you also goes to everyone who came out to support the team today and throughout the season. Your backing has made a huge difference, and this truly has been a club effort from start to finish.

✅ Fantastic day at Carmarthen Golf Club & Driving Range for the Dyfed Golfing Union County Seniors and Veterans Championships yesterday.

Three of our golfers took advantage of home conditions on quick greens.

⛳ First of all Mick Fenney put the best Stableford score of the day together with an outstanding 46 points to win the Veterans prize. Mick had only just returned from an injury and was obviously well refreshed from his break. Well done Mick. 🔥🔥🔥

The ever consistent Stewart Evans also flew the flag with a very good 35 points. 👏👏👏

🏌️ Alan Price produced the best gross score of the day with a 78 gross. Alan who had recently returned from our team exploits in Wrexham put together a consistent knock to win the gross price. 👏👏👏

Big congratulations to all the other winners which contained over 70 competitors, a great field for such a deserving event. 👏👏👏

What a fantastic day we had hosting the Ping Welsh Junior Tour here on Saturday! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We welcomed 115 talented junior golfers from across Wales, who took on the challenge of our course in some tough conditions, with wet and windy weather making it a real test of skill.

A huge congratulations to our very own Rory Henshaw and Liliwen Thomas, who both claimed victory in their respective categories 🏆👏

Our other Trefloyne juniors also represented the club brilliantly. Lawrie Richards played an excellent round and although narrowly missing out on a prize, created a moment he’ll never forget, holing a 30 yard pitch shot on his final hole to finish in style! ✨ The crowd went wild!

Zac Siswick, Rowan Shilling, Cai Jenkins and our Junior Captain William Morgan also put in a fantastic performances, just falling short of the prizes but showing great golf throughout the day and represented the club proudly!

A massive thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time, our fantastic team who helped make the event run smoothly, and to Wales Golf for choosing Trefloyne as a host venue.

A brilliant day of junior golf and a great success, we can’t wait to welcome you all back and the best of luck for the rest of the season 👏🏻🏌🏼‍♂️⛳️🏌🏼‍♀️
