So excited to highlight The Captain Featuring the incredible @taylrashtn with a new music video edited by genius buddy @carlos_p_alt.

For the Yosemite section of @outthere.film I wanted to write a song from the perspective of El Capitan. This iconic granite monolith has been witness to all of human history and millennia of natural history predating humanity. The stories of Yosemite Valley are tumultuous - from the violence and pressure that forms towering peaks and glacial valleys to the fraught history of human conquest of the land and the crimes humans inflict on one another. In today’s world it is easy to look at our history and feel discouraged as the violence and terror continues. But if we look at time through the eyes of El Capitan we see a greater perspective. No matter how dark things may seem or how destructive humanity appears, all these things are temporary, ephemeral, resigned to fade into oblivion. Long after we’re gone, El Capitan will still preside over the Yosemite Valley. A stoic reminder that we are a tiny blip in this planet’s history. If we can see our own existence through the eyes of El Capitan, perhaps we can right size our place in this world and change our relationship to it and each other for the better.

Empires rise and fall and The Captain remains through it all.

Huge thank you to Taylor for lending your stunning vocals to this track and my co-pilot Dylan McKinstry for co-producing, playing all the instruments, mixing and mastering. Thank you Carlos for putting together this incredible record of Yosemite and for your deep and meaningful visual storytelling. Watch here or on YouTube!

What a PERFECT weekend in the Bay Area! 💕🥂 Celebrating the love of my sweet cousin Ellen and our newest cousin, Jericho! Two adventurous souls who found their perfect match and are officially off on their greatest adventure yet… marriage! ❤️

Nothing better than being surrounded by my Jaret family, sharing laughs, making memories, and celebrating LOVE! Always missing my dad a little extra at these family moments, but I know he was there in spirit. And the special tribute to him made the weekend even sweeter. 🥹💕

And because the weekend couldn’t get any better, we even caught a little Fleet Week action in San Fran! ✈️⚓️

Love in the air, excitement in the skies, beauty on the bay, and family all around. Pretty darn perfect if you ask me! 🥰❤️

Cheers to the newlyweds and a lifetime of adventures! 🥂

For your GRAMMY® consideration: City of Fruits 🏙️🍓🍊🍋🍍

I set out to create inclusive music for kids that has catchy hooks and important messages like body positivity, empathy, and self-expression. By pairing forward-thinking messaging with sounds inspired by 60s and 70s pop, funk, disco, and soul, City of Fruits uses the warmth of the past to explore the world kids are growing up in today.
