Well, this has been a long time coming.

After graduating, I told myself I’d get to making a post about my time at school, but as the time went by I found that I couldn’t bring myself to do it. And I’ve come to the realization now that I just couldn’t find the words to sum it all up. Nor could I believe it was actually over.

But fuck it, here we go.

The last 4 years were nothing short of life-changing. If the high school version of myself were to meet me now, chances are he wouldn’t recognize him.

To Miami:

I hated you at first. Mostly I think because you were so different from the little suburb I grew up in. But as time has passed, you’ve truly grown on me. While I still don’t love some aspects, your music and diverse community as a whole has opened my mind up to so much more culture than I ever expected, and I am so greatful to call you my home for the time being.

To Frost:

I owe you so so so much. To the professors at Frost, you’ve taught me everything I needed to know, and gave me the skills to do exactly what I want as a career. I couldn’t have asked for a better school and home for the last 4 years. Thank you to @chuckbergeronmusic for being the best bass teacher ever, and thank you to Dr. Bennett and Dr. Salminen and all the other engineering professors for getting me to where I am now.

Lastly,
To all the people I’ve met along the way,

It’s so cliche at this point, but I gotta say it again.
It’s not a place, it’s a people.

To everyone who made music with me,
Sat at the weeks tables with me,
Had lunch with me,
Recorded with me,
Listened to music with me,
Played gigs with me,
Studied with me,
Taught me,
Laughed with me,
Cried with me,
Trusted me,
Called me a friend,

You made my time here truly unforgettable, and I’m so grateful to call so many of you lifelong friends. I truly have no words to describe the impact you all have made on my life.

And that’s all I got. I’m truly lost for words.

For those who are leaving Miami,
I will miss you so much and I bet I’ll see you again soon.

For those staying,
I can’t wait to be back.
Onto the next chapter.
Let’s make some fucking music.

From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you 🫶
Much Love ❤️
